  • Beautiful home and excellent in every way!

"Our family of four, including two young children, had a great experience staying at this home in Antiqua. The home was a great fit for us in every way, including the location, home layout and condition, and even the neighbors. We enjoyed the company and service of Maria around the house and the security of the gated compound while enjoying the grounds. Our kids spent many hours outside playing with children of the neighboring families. The owner provided great service during the entire transaction. She provided plenty of info on local attractions and dining and even made our airport transfer very easy by helping to set up reliable transportation. What I'll miss the most are the crisp mornings with fresh local coffee on the upstairs balcony with the views of the surrounding volcanos, what a sight! Micky, you have a wonderful home, thank you for sharing it with our family! We will be back!"

  • Simply great

"I've rented other lakefront properties and our experience with this was outstanding. Communication with the staff and property owner was fast and easy, and they were always willing to help. Great views, cozy and well-equipped home. Perfect for a romantic getaway or a weekend with friends or family."

  • My guests were sad to leave. And I can't wait to go back!

"If you want safety, security, quiet, beauty and views amidst luxury in a perfect location, choose Casa Bella! The minute I came through the front security gate into the compound, I knew that Casa Bella was going to be exceptional in every way. From the chaos of the city streets, I found a sense of serenity and calmness in the surrounding beauty of the homes. As I stepped through the front door of the house, the inner garden greeted me with lush plantings and flowers of every color. The red hibiscus blooms were the size of dinner plates. The kitchen was welcoming, well-equipped, functional and kept sparkling clean by the housekeeper. The living areas were spotless and comfortable. The two ground level bedrooms had private baths with walk-in showers and shared a small garden. One of my guests had limited mobility and was well accommodated. The two large upper bedrooms shared a lavish bathroom and many amenities. They opened onto a huge terrace with 360-degree views of volcanoes and the old city. A spiral staircase led to another terrace with the highest views in the neighborhood. (We enjoyed many hours on these garden terraces watching sunrises, sunsets, full moons, volcanoes and shooting stars.) Casa Bella is actually a living museum of Guatemalan art. There are collections of paintings, sculptures and textiles throughout the property that thrill they eye and speak of the local people and their customs. The listing description and the virtual tour were accurate. The owner provided useful information about the workings of the house. Also strategic suggestions to help make our trip enjoyable. She gave tips that aren't found in guide books and stayed in touch. She anticipated our every need, including two house mobile phones. There were no bad surprises, only happy experiences. The driver/guide she suggested was a jewel. He negotiated the city traffic and mountain roads with skill. One of my guests asked me to mention Meson Panza Verde for a special dinner. I suggest a trip up to Tenedor del Cerro for Sunday brunch for the views, food, art and people watching. All five of us agreed that the trip to Lake Atitlan was the highlight of the trip."

  • Amazing lake front on Lake Atitlan

"Villa Verdad is an amazing and spectacular place to stay on Lake Atitlan. This was our second time at Villa Verdad and it was just as amazing as the first. It was even so amazing that my partner proposed to me in the garden on our last day here. It will always be a place that we remember as somewhere special. It is in a perfect location because it is close to the boat launch in Pana but far away from all the backpackers. You can take a boat ride to any of the other villages if you want o go shopping or out. For the most part, we just stayed in the house and enjoyed the beautiful landscape. Francesca is amazing to work with. While we were in our shuttle bus from Antigua, the rain was so bad that I was just able to email her and she was able to arrange for a private boat to pick us up at the dock and bring us straight to the house. I was able to email her anytime and she always got back to us right away. They are also very good about getting the security back to us as soon as we leave the house."
