  • Beautiful Home steps from a Beautiful Beach

"I had such a good time staying at the Boat House. Not only is it an amazing beach--with snorkeling and sea turtles right there!- the house itself is beautiful, comfortable, and so easy to rest and relax in. I loved that the beach felt like it was in your backyard, but is set back just enough to always be quiet. The kitchen is well setup if you prefer to cook, or there are tons of restaurants along the beach. There's also a water taxi stand nearby to explore other parts of the island, and a car rental place in easy walking distance if you just want to rent a car for the day (they picked me up at the airport, so there was no need to rent a car for the whole trip, but there is parking if you choose to do that). I definitely hope to return to this beautiful spot."

  • Highly Recommended Home to Rent in West End/West Bay Roatán!

"Jason and Allison have a true gem of a property. You will find yourself feeling spoiled. This property is far and above better than any hotel you will find in West End or West Bay. The location is situated above a quiet beach between West Bay and West End. Trust me when I say that this is absolutely ideal. There are two very nice boutique hotels to dine at below the property. There is a dock where you can easily flag a water taxi from or simply enjoy a cocktail and the sunset. The property is cared for by a kind, young man named Alberto. Alberto the groundskeeper was on site daily keeping the property in tip top shape. Alberto was also available to help you with the transportation of kayaks and paddle boards down the hill to the beach below. All the while, Alberto had a smile on his face. The pool and spa are amazing! They are well constructed and comfortable to use day or night. The location of the house is easy for taxies to pick you up and drop you off during the evenings if you wish to go to any of the communities for dinner, drinks or dancing. If you wish to stay in and cook you will find everything you need to do so. The apartment we stayed in was clean and comfortable, as well as perfect for our needs while in Roatán. There is also a huge bonus to staying at this property. The property is managed by Marco and Delzie Rosales. They are lovely individuals and highly involved in the community. Both Marco and Delzie will go above and beyond to make sure you have the best time possible. Trust me when I say that they know everyone and will easily and happily arrange any activity or necessity you could possibly wish for or need. I can not stress that enough, they will provide you with six-star service. They were helpful at all times and that is amazing! While staying on the property you will be visited by all sorts of wildlife, my favorite being the macaws that came daily to squak at their parrot friends on the property next door. I recommend you eat and drink at Xbalanque, The Landing, Creole's, Bambu,The Blue Marlin and Frank's Cigar Bar. If you wish to go diving, go diving with Quality Time Divers as they will provide you with a personalized and comfortable experience. They will also meet you at your dock and show you an amazing time. Ask for Tim, Marco and Otto."

  • Perfect Location/Great Hosts

"Quiet location 4 minutes from beautiful beach. Walking distance to both West Bay and West End. Snorkeling right off beach. Apartment well appointed and cozy. Jen and Tommy great hosts very helpful. Scooter worked grand and handy to have. Would also recommend Gumbalina Park and their zip line. Would certainly stay here again. Maybe next year"

  • Paradise Found on a Beach

"Hiding out, writing a book, getting away from the maddening crowd of typical knowns? This is the spot. Located on the real local beach of Sandy Bay. Views of the water from the deck of the casita and the brand new upper private deck where you can sit and read or write or internet on your ipad with wifi or take up a meal and enjoy. The octagon little house has a big shower, lots of closet space, fabulous bed, TV with lots of American channels, kitchen and eating area all outfitted, hammock too. You can join other local flavour on the beach---the outside world has not taken over all of the Caribbean yet and snorkel right out to the reef or take a kayak, Josué the site manager who lives right on site is pleasant, comes with a voice call at any moment and carries out the kayak to the beach for you. Safe and secure is also a good feeling here. All time of the day you can swim in the ocean off the end of the owners dock ,just jump in to the biggest natural organic swimming pool yet, free to all ! Walk down the beach to restaurants and dive shops, excellent food, happy hours, wing nights, all you can eat nights, music. Enjoy all the benefits of the other boutique resorts for alot less than what others pay for a room there. Visit Carambola Botanicial Gardens across the main road from here. Swim with the Dolphins. Take a trip up the island with Channin and Kimberlee who are the manager couple that pick you up from the airport. Go to Sundowners for happy hour in West Bay , cab ride a few minutes up the road or Jose will call Channin to pick you up. French Harbour 2 restaurants must eat at, Captain Dixon " truely island authentic" and Romeos Italian. Temporay Cal's Catina further up the road past French Harbour has amazing view and wow food, order the lobster....tons.... Really adventerous try a trip to Punta Gorda for their local music and eats on Sunday only , again ask Channin for a drive. What can I say, excellent hideaway yet close to lots to do....exciting, not the same old resort, all inclusive boring ready for a real adventure, you'll get Roatan in your soul and return."
