  • Spectacular Property

"The view from the veranda is amazing - never got tired of it for the entire 2 weeks. Spotlessly clean. Beautifully decorated with great bedding, towels, kitchen gear, etc. Brigitta and Jaw were genuinely engaged and did everything possible to ensure our visit was fabulous. Jaw even provided fresh fruit from his "orchard" whenever it was ripe. Went to nearly all the recommended restaurants with Cal's and La Sirena being the best. Also hired Subway Divers (right around the peninsula) for a private snorkeling trip. We also ate in quite a bit and Eldon's had a surprisingly wide selection of groceries. Also picked up fish from Hyburs. Only warning is that the Internet is not high speed and you will quickly use up your download quota. With 4 of us regularly visiting Facebook, instagram, etc., we definitely gobbled up the gigabytes. Just plan on using it less and know that you'll have to spin down to the store to refill. Bottom line, this place and the owners are simply superb. Stay there if you can."

  • beautiful

"We recently enjoyed a wonderful week at Seagrove Retreat. So many activities from kayaking (singles/doubles with paddles provided) , great snorkeling nearby (gear provided), paddle boards, swimming in the pool or off the dock. Which is always refreshing. Junior, Franklin and/or Tommy (care takers, who are the best!) can arrange most anything you need. From shuttle to and from the airport, to stopping by a large grocery store, and boat taxis. Call Marvin for a boat trip down the coast line (highly recommend this) , or lunch at Hole In The Wall for lunch or other places. Spend your happy hour fishing from the deck of the casita or dock. Mostly small fish so for us catch and release, but much fun. Early in the morning you will see the school bus boat pick up children and a fisherman came by the dock to sell us lobster. Seagrove Retreat is peaceful and quiet, always a breeze so sitting on any of the decks provides a perfect place to relax and enjoy the view. The houses are tastefully decorated and furnished with all your needs. All was well maintained and clean. Make sure you stock up at the grocery store as Seagrove Retreat is in a beautiful secluded area, with a rocky road and steep hill to get in and out. There are a fair amount of stairs on the property, we just viewed it as daily exercise. The owners Paul and Julie are delightful and will answer all your questions. Looking forward to our next trip to Roatan and would definitely stay here again!"

  • Our stay at Sunni's Cove

"My husband and I had a great time at Sunni's Cove! The cabins are lovely and cozy... it was a good thing, because when we were there it was stormy and rainy every day (at the end of the rainy season). We took walks along the beach and found many amazing shells and coral pieces; we kayaked across the channel to Suc Suc and Jewel Cays, where we had a great lunch and were able to stock up on groceries. We were happy to have a solid internet connection so we could watch some movies in the rainy evenings, and the shower was awesome. We also loved watching the sunsets and the changes in the ocean and the skies. Once you get there, you won't want to leave, it is so peaceful... The caretaker, Anke, went over and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy!"

  • Another great stay with amazing snorkeling

"This is the second time we have stayed at Marcia's, and the house was great! Marcia gave us some frozen mangos, which made delicious drinks after snorkeling. The snorkeling was amazing, except for one day when the jellyfish were out by the thousands.... We saw a Moray eel, huge stingray, turtle, lion fish, and lots of beautiful coral and tropical fish. Since it was high season, it was not as peaceful and secluded as our last stay ( tour boats going by and local kids racing their boats in the bay on the weekend), but still a comfortable house and amazing snorkeling! We had a great, restful vacation. It is great to have kayaks provided so we can snorkel at our leisure, and we were also able to borrow a spear and fishing pole and even fins, since I lost one od mine our first week in Roatan. Thanks for your great hospitality!"
