  • Great stay,. sorry I've got to leave

"I had the opportunity to stay for 13 days in Jim's condo and it was a very nice stay. The condo was modern with a full kitchen which did come in handy, once or twice. The bed was quite comfortable and had everything that I needed to make the stay great. The WiFi worked perfectly. This condo is in a great location - away from the bar, but close enough for only a short walk to the beach. Infinity Bay is one of the best resorts on Roatan. Thanks, Jim, it was a pleasure staying at your condo."

  • Lovely property

"Large condo unit with two bedrooms - one with king and one with queen bed, each having an ensuite bathroom. The only problem we had was that the beds were really high - could do with a footstool to get in bed! Well equipped kitchen. Nice view from the deck."

  • Paradise Found!

"If you are looking for Paradise...look no further! You will find it at the Sand Barr at the Meridian. The Sand Barr is a luxury Villa located at Light House Point on the western tip of the Island. With breathtaking views from the balcony or the roof top deck, you will see the cruise ships float by, dive boats & fishing boats, parasailing, and the most magnificent of sunsets. This 3 bedroom, 3 bath Villa is immaculate and has all the amenities that anyone would need for the perfect vacation. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, high end furniture, and TV as well as its own private deck. We were lucky enough to have the master suite with a tub as well as a shower, & the gorgeous ocean view. We stayed here with another couple, and found the Sand Barr the perfect place to come home to after fun filled days at West Bay, West End, Lawson Rock, Tours of the Island or after our Snorkel Cruise from Oakridge. The air conditioning was a welcoming treat after being in the warm sun all day. The beautiful wandering pool (with many different levels) is an Oasis surrounded by lush palm trees, and beautiful flowers. It is a great place to hang out, relax and unwind. I loved waking up in the morning, having breakfast on the deck, then heading down to the little beach right in front of the villa. If you go left as far as the infinity pool on the beach, you will find my favorite spot ...the lounges under the palm trees. Close your eyes and listen to the gentle waves breaking on the shore. You will feel all stress disappear & feel like you are in Heaven. Although you can walk to West Bay Beach, we are happy that we rented a vehicle. It gave us the opportunity to come & go as we pleased, and we were able to see so much more of the island. If you wish to rent a vehicle talk to Arlene as she has many good suggestions. I cannot stress enough how beautiful the Sand Barr is! Gord and Arlene have made sure to provide anything you could possibly need in a vacation home, and this is by far the nicest place we have ever stayed! We would love to come back and stay at the Sand Barr again. Thank You Arlene, Gord, Ashley & Dylan for sharing your Beautiful Piece of Paradise with us!"

  • The best vacation we've been on

"Our group of 8 had the privilege of staying at L'Alize for the last week for our friend’s 50th birthday. We knew our stay would be amazing the minute we walked into the house and saw the views from the balcony. The home sits between lush trees and has an amazing ocean view. The home was very spacious four our party of 8, with four bedrooms - two on pool level and two on upper floor. The main floor included the kitchen which was very well equipped and a balcony that we used often to watch the stars at night or enjoy the daily breezes. We rented the van and paid the additional fee to have Eddie drive us. I would highly recommend doing this as the roads in Roatan are filled with many holes and could be difficult to navigate as a visitor. Eddie was so accommodating and always arrived early with a smile on his face. It was also very easy to reach him with the loaner cell phones that were provided to us. We had the privilege of having Dulce cook for us several times while we visited. Her cooking was by far the best food we ate while in Roatan (I didn’t love the restaurants we ate at). She was so sweet and accommodating. Everything was delicious. She was involved in an auto accident the day we left. We would love to hear if she is doing alright. We enjoyed many activities during our stay. We ziplined, took a mangrove boat tour, hung out at several local bars but “Hole in the Wall” with bartender Captain Ed (who makes a good strong drink) was our favorite. Our favorite activity was taking a private boat trip to Cayos Cochinos. Our tour guide Osman who is located at the Bananarama Roatan Activities booth in West Bay was absolutely amazing. I highly suggest doing a tour this way even with the cost being $150 per person. Drinks, beer, vodka, rum, sodas, juices, water, lunch (coconut rice and beans, plantain chips and local fresh fish) snacks (fruit platter, chips and salsa) were all included. We visited 3 of the 15 islands, were able to snorkel and get to meet the Garifuna community. We truly felt like celebrities with Osman taking care of us. Be aware that the boat ride is about 1 hour. If you get sea sickness (like me), you will want to bring Dramamine. The only thing I recommend bringing with you is bug spray (that contains deet). We didn’t have an issue with bugs at L’Alize however anywhere we visited had bugs and we were bitten. Finally, the owner Rosanne was VERY easy to work with and was fast at communicating with me. She answe"
