  • Nice Stay

"Our stay at Villa delfin was a great experience. We stayed there for a week, in the Studio unit. There is a few other units on the property including the owners. Carleen and her husband were very friendly and even gave us a lift into town one day. As far as the property goes, it is quite nice and very well maintained and most of all very safe! The Studio apartment is great for a couple. It had all the necessary amenities we needed, and the large refrigerator was great for storing our drinks and food. There is also plenty of parking if you decide to rent a car or scooter which we did as we wanted to explore the island. The Studio sits on the 2nd floor, so you get a nice strong breeze in the evening which was nice. The apartments sits up in the jungle away from the beach. Although you can take a short walk down to the nearest beach area to catch a water taxi, but walking back up the pretty steep hill is not much fun. There are no stores or restaurants nearby, so you have to walk down and catch a water taxi or call one from your unit. Although I think there was a restaurant /resort down by the beach area but we did not try it. So if you prefer to be away from everything and everyone then this complex will be great for you. But if you like the convenience of all the options at West Bay or West end like we did, then you might want to stay closer to the hustle and bustle. We would definitely recommend this rental property to our friends and family. Thank you for your hospitality, Carleen! :D"

"We recently enjoyed a wonderful week at Seagrove Retreat. So many activities from kayaking (singles/doubles with paddles provided) , great snorkeling nearby (gear provided), paddle boards, swimming in the pool or off the dock. Which is always refreshing. Junior, Franklin and/or Tommy (care takers, who are the best!) can arrange most anything you need. From shuttle to and from the airport, to stopping by a large grocery store, and boat taxis. Call Marvin for a boat trip down the coast line (highly recommend this) , or lunch at Hole In The Wall for lunch or other places. Spend your happy hour fishing from the deck of the casita or dock. Mostly small fish so for us catch and release, but much fun. Early in the morning you will see the school bus boat pick up children and a fisherman came by the dock to sell us lobster. Seagrove Retreat is peaceful and quiet, always a breeze so sitting on any of the decks provides a perfect place to relax and enjoy the view. The houses are tastefully decorated and furnished with all your needs. All was well maintained and clean. Make sure you stock up at the grocery store as Seagrove Retreat is in a beautiful secluded area, with a rocky road and steep hill to get in and out. There are a fair amount of stairs on the property, we just viewed it as daily exercise. The owners Paul and Julie are delightful and will answer all your questions. Looking forward to our next trip to Roatan and would definitely stay here again!"

  • Amazing Paradise!!

"WOW! - seems like the best place to begin! We had the pleasure of renting the entire property of Villas del Mar for our group of 22. We trek annually to a different tropical retreat, and with a group this size it can be difficult to find properties to accommodate - but we hit the jackpot with this one! The entire staff catered to our every whim - from picking us to the airport (different itineraries, mind you), to going to the grocery store, to bringing up ice to the pools, to taking kayaks and paddle boards (boards rented by us, kayaks included) down to the docks - there is nothing we left wanting for! We hired Rosa and Pearl make most of our meals for us, and this is a must; this leaves your days and evenings free to explore the island, relax, and enjoy all the properties have to offer! The pools were awesome, the kayaks and gear fantastic, and simply there wasn't any additional amenity that the houses didn't have. The main thing to note would be in Brisa, it is an open Balinese style house - so the two bedrooms there, although having portable AC units to cool - don't stay as cool as the bedrooms in the other houses. This is just to note, and not a deterrent- just in case AC for people is an absolute must. Speaking of absolutes, the use of bug spray is a must! This is the tropics, bugs affect some more than others. It was nice to have a supply offered in each home, but definitely bring your own and apply often. There is a great gift shop onsite with handmade items by the owners and staff who work there, as well that is what makes up all the decor and dinnerware! Lastly, having the vehicles there to use was such a bonus - especially with a group of our size and going to different places. The pictures of the interiors, exteriors, and the all the acreage simply do not do it justice - it's a gorgeous retreat. Go and see for yourself :-). Thanks to the Raw family and all those onsite at Villas Del Mar - we had a fantastic trip, one for the books!"

  • 5th Stay at this Great Condo!

"Obviously, I love the condo, the resort and Roatan, as this is my 5th stay. Had my teenage/adult kids with me on this trip and we all had a great time. The condo has such wonderful air conditioning - it's truly refreshing after a few hours out in the hot, humid sun. We had no issues with the condo or staff and everyone was very pleasant and helpful. It's no wonder I keep returning! The snorkeling was great, as usual. In my opinion, the Argentinian Grill has the best food and service on the beach and we highly recommend taking a trip to the Sloth Farm and Little French Key to have some amazing animal interactions and view beautiful beaches."
