  • Landed in Paradise!

"Five women (ages 70s) who like to snorkel stayed here for 10 days. We thought it was fabulous. The air was 87 degrees daytime with light breeze, evenings 77, water 82! White sandy beach with tourquoise blue water in front of resort. Incredible! The snorkeling was so easy and lots of reef without boat traffic. Great corals and sponges. Did see one turtle. The amenities at the resort were excellent...guards present and no hassles from local vendors. All beach gear safe, leaving it at the beach or pool. Ice water and fresh beach towels at hand. The Palapa Bar/restaurant was close to the water for view and breeze. The wait staff as well as all resort staff were amazing. We hung out in bathing suits all day, even at the restaurant, feet in the sand. In fact I think I wore shoes to the airport and wore sandals when we walked the Meridian Resort and Kismet restaurant to escape beach traffic when 5 cruise ships came in. Other than that I was barefoot or in flip flops! The unit was perfect for us five. We had breakfast in the room or out on patio. We had some lunches and occasional dinner in the unit. If we needed anything we called the front desk and all was taken care of. The food at restaurants on the beach was consistently good. We ate at Celeste's twice. All of us would like to return. The only negative was a few mosquitos and biting sand flies. The person who sprayed her clothes with pyrithrin didn't have any problems. We all used bug spray after 5 PM. It was PARADISE!"

"We recently enjoyed a wonderful week at Seagrove Retreat. So many activities from kayaking (singles/doubles with paddles provided) , great snorkeling nearby (gear provided), paddle boards, swimming in the pool or off the dock. Which is always refreshing. Junior, Franklin and/or Tommy (care takers, who are the best!) can arrange most anything you need. From shuttle to and from the airport, to stopping by a large grocery store, and boat taxis. Call Marvin for a boat trip down the coast line (highly recommend this) , or lunch at Hole In The Wall for lunch or other places. Spend your happy hour fishing from the deck of the casita or dock. Mostly small fish so for us catch and release, but much fun. Early in the morning you will see the school bus boat pick up children and a fisherman came by the dock to sell us lobster. Seagrove Retreat is peaceful and quiet, always a breeze so sitting on any of the decks provides a perfect place to relax and enjoy the view. The houses are tastefully decorated and furnished with all your needs. All was well maintained and clean. Make sure you stock up at the grocery store as Seagrove Retreat is in a beautiful secluded area, with a rocky road and steep hill to get in and out. There are a fair amount of stairs on the property, we just viewed it as daily exercise. The owners Paul and Julie are delightful and will answer all your questions. Looking forward to our next trip to Roatan and would definitely stay here again!"

  • This place was perfect for us.

"It is on what almost seems like a private beach and has a great view of the water and is clean, shady, comfortable and a short walk to resorts, restaurants and access to activities without the hassle of being on a crowded beach or a large resort. The condo is one of six (?) units but we never heard our neighbors. It is next to Gumbalimba Park (a nature preserve) and separated from West Bay by the laid back Las Rocas dive resort. The grass in the water right in front of the condo does not invite swimming but there's a "hole" in front of Los Rocas a few feet away and plenty more beach and swimming at West Bay. You can also take advantage of the large pools at the nearby resorts by simply buying a drink or a meal there. The unit we rented (3b) might not be considered luxurious by American standards, but it was very comfortable and had everything we needed (small pool, kitchen utensils, washer/dryer, TV with Satellite, towels, etc.) and covered parking. We have been to Roatan countless times and have stayed in high-end resorts but we highly recommend this condo to anyone who prefers the beach at a good price and without the crowd."

  • A Wonderful Stay!

"We spent four days at Casanueva and Belvedere. It was a great vacation that far exceeded our expectations. The Villas were great, spacious and comfortable for all of us (13 adults). The views were great from nearly every room of the house and the main deck with the pool was an absolute delight. Christine and Surge were very nice to us, they greeted us and made sure that all of our accommodations were right in order. They also answered the phone for every question or concern we had which was a big relief. The location is great because it is located at West Bay Beach where most of the hotels and restaurants are. It is a short walk to the beach which makes a car not much of a necessity. The island has so many fun activities and the beach is always nice which makes it hard to leave the place. I would highly recommend those Villas since we had a blast!"
