  • Amazing stay at Villa Tranquila

"My husband, myself, and our two girls, ages 3 and 6, had a wonderful stay at Villa Tranquila in Roatan. I will start off by saying how beautiful Roatan is. The people are extremely friendly and the water is truly unbelievable. We have been to many islands and the water in Roatan is truly spectacular. Villa Tranquila is located in West End, a cute little town full of great restaurants and shops. Everything is within walking distance from the Villa. The town has a very local feel to it and is not touristy at all, which we loved. The beaches in West End are good, but if you want to see the clearest water you can imagine, you have to go to West Bay, which is only about 5 minutes away on a water taxi. Definitely worth the trip. Since we had two small kids with us, it was definitely easier to just stay in West End. We found an amazing beach just steps from the Villa. It is located at the Buccuneer restaurant. They clean the beach each morning, they provide chairs and umbrellas, and even nice large beds, and all you have to do is order a drink once in a while. We ordered the most delicious smoothies for the girls for $2 each. Also ordered them lunch for $5. Most of the time, we had the beach all to ourselves. Water is very clear, warm, and shallow. There is also a dock, which is fun. Literally the perfect place. When we were done with the beach, we would walk back to the Villa and take a dip in the huge pool located right outside the condo. Most of the time, we were the only ones at the pool as well. More about the condo: the Villa comes with everything you can possibly need. The kitchen is fully stocked - pots, pans, coffee maker, tea kettle, all dishes, all utensils, can opener, cheese grater, etc. Basically anything you would have at home, is there. Lots of paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, hand soap, etc. You do not need to buy anything else, just food. We stopped at a grocery store on the way from the airport and bought food. We used the kitchen every morning to make breakfast. Very convenient. In addition, there was a fruit/veggie truck that came right by the Villa with fresh fruit and veggies. The watermelon, bananas, apples, green peppers, were all so delicious and fragrant. We were also able to buy some fresh caught red snapper from some locals for very cheap and grilled the fish on the grill at the condo. I would recommend this condo to anyone who enjoys having the conveniences of home and who loves having a pool and beach to themselves."

  • Beautiful jungle tree house with an excellent deck

"My family of 5 really enjoyed our stay at Casa Cowee here on Sandy Beach. Everybody who cares for the property is lovely (thanks Channin, Kemberly, anf Jose!) and we felt safe and taken care of. Suzanne made accommodations for my family to be comfortable. The house itself is very unique and I loved all the little details. If you are going to rent this place (which you should) please note that it is lanai style vent windows. Suzanne made this clear in our communication. There is an airconditioner in the main bedroom. Everywhere else is cooled by sea breeze and fans. I was perfectly comfortable with only a fan in the loft but other people may not be ( maybe the elderly etc) Plenty of windows means the view is otherworldly. When we weren't scuba diving we were sitting in the hammocks on the deck watching the hummingbirds, kittens, and lizards play and taking in the sunset. There's yummy restaurants right down the beach and I will miss seeing the stars so bright in the sky on our 5 minute walks back from dinner. Sandy bay is so much more relaxed and personal feeling than west end and west bay. I definitely plan on coming back. Thanks Suzanne!"

  • Excellent condo and location! Condo owner great communication.

"My 4th time visiting ROA, 1st at infinity. Excellent condo condition but it was on the 4th floor. Wifi everywhere! Family frienly everywhere. Bartender extremly friendly. Checkin/out fast. Transportation arranged excellent. Water taxi or reg taxi to west end was great. Bout tour with Capt Garcia was excellent and very affordable and flexible (located in front of infinity) provided 3hr tour. Condo owner very flexible and very fast reply... within 20 min condo was confirmed! Answered emails within mins. Food: i prefer traditional food so i went to west end but we tried some food at the bar. Chicken tenders were great for kids. Pina colada yummy, cold beer! Fish was not that great. You can take your own beer and food. Try authentic honduran food at caliou at west end! Excellent food and very affordable! I had my own portable speaker and had music of my choice. Interacted with other guest from texas and shared different type of music. The area is extremely safe. Other hotel, cabin, resort options exist... cheaper at west end ... night fun but no beach fun. Anywhere you stay will be great!"

  • beautiful

"We recently enjoyed a wonderful week at Seagrove Retreat. So many activities from kayaking (singles/doubles with paddles provided) , great snorkeling nearby (gear provided), paddle boards, swimming in the pool or off the dock. Which is always refreshing. Junior, Franklin and/or Tommy (care takers, who are the best!) can arrange most anything you need. From shuttle to and from the airport, to stopping by a large grocery store, and boat taxis. Call Marvin for a boat trip down the coast line (highly recommend this) , or lunch at Hole In The Wall for lunch or other places. Spend your happy hour fishing from the deck of the casita or dock. Mostly small fish so for us catch and release, but much fun. Early in the morning you will see the school bus boat pick up children and a fisherman came by the dock to sell us lobster. Seagrove Retreat is peaceful and quiet, always a breeze so sitting on any of the decks provides a perfect place to relax and enjoy the view. The houses are tastefully decorated and furnished with all your needs. All was well maintained and clean. Make sure you stock up at the grocery store as Seagrove Retreat is in a beautiful secluded area, with a rocky road and steep hill to get in and out. There are a fair amount of stairs on the property, we just viewed it as daily exercise. The owners Paul and Julie are delightful and will answer all your questions. Looking forward to our next trip to Roatan and would definitely stay here again!"
