  • Excellent vacation experience

"The property in general and units specifically were exactly what they were portrayed to be (very nice) - our 6 family members had a great vacation experience. The unit owners were very helpful in making suggestions for all of our touring, dining, shopping and excursion needs - invaluable as we had never been to this area. The property staff were universally pleasant, helpful and accommodating. The property is ideally located for snorkeling, scuba and fishing charters. We would love to return and highly recommend to others."

  • Great location

"My family of 3 stayed in this condo for the last part of Semana Santa and into the next week. The condo is stocked with the necessities but we did miss having kitchen towels when doing dishes. We had a couple of issues that arose but Bill took care of them immediately. It was great having the laundry available. The condo is in building 7 on the ground floor. It was close enough to the pool and far enough away from the bar. Cleaning is every 3 days but there was a broom to keep the sand at bay between cleanings. The beds were very comfortable. This condo had 2 pool noodles to use if needed but that was all. We have stayed in other condos in this same complex that had other supplies-floats, balls, sand toys, etc. All in all this is a fantastic condo for location and service from the owner. The beach is amazing and will not disappoint!"

  • beautiful

"We recently enjoyed a wonderful week at Seagrove Retreat. So many activities from kayaking (singles/doubles with paddles provided) , great snorkeling nearby (gear provided), paddle boards, swimming in the pool or off the dock. Which is always refreshing. Junior, Franklin and/or Tommy (care takers, who are the best!) can arrange most anything you need. From shuttle to and from the airport, to stopping by a large grocery store, and boat taxis. Call Marvin for a boat trip down the coast line (highly recommend this) , or lunch at Hole In The Wall for lunch or other places. Spend your happy hour fishing from the deck of the casita or dock. Mostly small fish so for us catch and release, but much fun. Early in the morning you will see the school bus boat pick up children and a fisherman came by the dock to sell us lobster. Seagrove Retreat is peaceful and quiet, always a breeze so sitting on any of the decks provides a perfect place to relax and enjoy the view. The houses are tastefully decorated and furnished with all your needs. All was well maintained and clean. Make sure you stock up at the grocery store as Seagrove Retreat is in a beautiful secluded area, with a rocky road and steep hill to get in and out. There are a fair amount of stairs on the property, we just viewed it as daily exercise. The owners Paul and Julie are delightful and will answer all your questions. Looking forward to our next trip to Roatan and would definitely stay here again!"

  • Location..Location...Location

"As the title emphasizes, Hobbies is situated at one of the best possible locations on Roatan. Sandy Bay has a beautiful white sand beach fringed by Coconut palms, and mangroves. Extremely important and biodiverse eel grass extends from the beach out to the reef. Snorkeling is superb! Sunsets are too. The grocery stores, shops and airport are about 10 to 15 minutes away. Getting to and from Half Moon Bay and West Beach is very easy and very cheap. And course the icing on the cake are the wonderful hosts John & Sue; and their right hand man, Ronald – okkiee dokiee John picks you up and drops you off at the airport and takes you to the grocery store frequently. If he's busy, taxis are readily available to take you anywhere. John and Sue provide a wealth of information about the island and the local way of life. Their hospitality is not confined to the van or the living quarters above. This is the place to relax, kick back, drink a cold one and tell stories. Comfortable, friendly and it felt familiar and safe. Our unit was well furnished. We did not lack for a thing. We cooked what we caught on our fishing trip with John and Ronald on the grill onsite. Made our evening cocktails and enjoyed the company of the other guests. Ronald took us on a unforgettable snorkel adventure. We spent our last day touring the island with John. In the end we knew we had chosen the best location on Roatan for our long awaited vacation."
