  • Best vacation ever!

"Part of me doesn't want to give such a great review but I truly feel I need to. We traveled just after Christmas, my teen son my preteen daughter and husband and we're the kind of travelers that would rather never see another tourist at all. Let me say this place fit us perfect. Phones turned off only electronics we brought were a laptop to do workouts for my son and a jambox to listen to music! We brought our own snorkeling gear but could easily go next door to the reef house to get everything we needed for a low price. Convenience of a well stocked grocery store easily finding EVERY AMERICANIZED name brand need. Also there's a little store the key quicky store just in case u need more bottled water. The house kitchen is as equipped as my own at home! I love to cook! Only thing I found funny missing was a pizza cutter. lol but who but us would eat pizza on an island! George the caretaker and water taxi driver was so nice and accommodating! Offering to help us with anything and everything! Gina the house lady also cooked us up a local meal that was delicious. I cooked almost every other meal and we only ate out twice. I do recommend eating at the reef house next door. Delicious! And Elam (not sure if that's his name) the fisherman - wow - talk about fresh fish! King crab, grouper, snapper and my favorite LOBSTER! Fresh and cleaned and did I mention fresh!! Exactly what these landlocked seafood lovers dreamed about having available. And lastly the view, the water experiences! Everything from seeing puffer fish the size of a large dog to the schools of parrot fish and more! I suggest a visit to the iguana park and ziplining tour that Dave the taxi driver would take you to. So awesome. We spent most of our days in sheer comfort. The breezes with the open doors and windows in the main living area to the extreme comfort and luxury of air conditioning to sleep in. Large rooms and huge bathrooms. Plus ability to wash clothes! It was just as fun to piddle around in the pool out front as it was to go beyond and find the reef literally out the back door to see gorgeous God made entertainment. We didn't even turn the tv on (well maybe 2 times) which had cable (my daughter however loved the kids channels in her room). Books, games, art supplies, I mean this home was I would say better than a home away from home! Dave, Gina, Elam, the reef house people and most especially George helped make this trip an awesome one for my entire family! Thank you!"

  • Fantastic Holiday!

"We had been looking at accommodation options for our trip to Roatan. This being our first visit we had considered doing an all inclusive package through an airline. Are we ever glad that we did not go this route. Andre was so helpful right from the start. We felt like we had our own personal Roatan guide at our finger tips. The studio condo perfectly fit our needs. We did not do any cooking, but enjoyed making our own coffee in the morning and the use of the fridge and ice maker. The resort itself was excellent. After strolling up and down the beach and looking at a few other resorts, we were glad we had chosen Infinity Bay. (We spoke to other people staying at different resorts who commented that their accommodations were just okay). The grounds, the pool, restaurant and staff were all fantastic. The security guard that was at the beach area was so friendly as well. He would go our of his way to say hi and see how things were going. We ate at the hotel a few times either at the beach bar or at the buffet, usually for lunch. For a buffet, we were quite impressed and thoroughly enjoyed every visit. There are so many choices of places to eat just a short walking distance away that we took advantage of and never had a bad meal any where. We were actually pleasantly surprised of all the wonderful meals we had. Typically when travelling it can be hit or miss. For us, after two weeks, they were all hits. This was another reason we were glad that we did not go all inclusive. Although the food was great at the hotel, (drinks were a limited menu for all inclusive), but with so many great options, we were glad we weren't limited to mainly eating at the resort. Every evening we strolled down the beach and enjoyed the various beachfront restaurants. We took a few excursions, which were all great. Snorkelling around the island and right in front of the resort was awesome. Thank you Andre for everything! You helped make our holiday even that much greater. Your attentive manner to ensure our vacation went smooth was very much appreciated. I would highly recommend anyone who is a first time visitor to Roatan or using VRBO to feel confident that you will be well taken care of booking with Andre."

  • Second stay, a special place

"We stayed at the Sunset house with a group of 11 people in August 2015, and had a great time. I proposed to my girlfriend on the dock, looking at the stars and ocean late one night. So in August 2016, we returned with a group of 10 people and got married on the same dock! The house is in a great location, walking distance from West Bay and West End. The dock is one of the best on the beach, with lights in the palapa and in the water so you can see the sea creatures at night. Water taxi drivers are well aware of the sunset house and will drop you off easily, night or day. The concierge is extremely helpful with planning any activities you want to do around the island during your trip. The on-site caretaker is a great guy who carefully maintains the property, he's also a lot of fun to talk to (study your Spanish, though!) The house has all the amenities you'd need, as does the extra apartment in the back. They also provide water toys for your use, and you can kayak or paddleboard out to the reef pretty easily."
