  • Awesome 2nd Honeymoon!

"We stayed here after meeting the previous owner on the beach during a short stay off of a cruise trip. She convinced us that we should look into staying at her condo next time we came to Roatan. We rented for a week and were well taken care of the whole time by Erica and Ron. The condo was well equipped and clean and nicely located. We used the pool often and enjoyed the lush greenery and all of the birds! We were able to use the house phone provided to get transportation and adventure whenever we wished. The food on the island was teriffic. We shopped at a local fish market and made a seafood dinner in the condo with the full stocked kitchen. The weather was perfect. We swam and snorkeled. I got to do my first SCUBA dive with Blue Island Divers right next door. Eric and his operation will take you on the best dive in one of the best reef experiences in the world! So happy with the entire trip. We felt very safe and well taken care of the whole time. Definitely would like to go back again!"

  • great vacation rental

"We arrived at the Roatan airport and we were met by John. He took us to our rental apartment, We were impressed with the location of this property. We were within 50 yards of the sea and only a couple of 100 yards swim to the reef. after some time to settle in John drove us to the grocery store to stock up on local food and he also took us to a local fish market where we were able to purchase langousta, lion fish and barracuda. All the fish was fresh and tasted delicious. John and Sue were fantastic hosts, they took care of fresh linens and supplied coffee. Ronald (Johns sidekick) was fantastic he took us fishing and snorkeling he cleaned our fish and took care of any requests we made. We have travel a lot and this is a trip we will never forget. Thanks John and Sue and Ronald."

  • Great Place!

"This is a really cool place. To have such a view on Sandy Bay....just wonderful! The dock out back is unique and huge and in fact we spent one day just hanging out there drinking and chatting, taking advantage of the hammocks, snorkeling and kayaks. Plenty of shade, so don't think you have to be exposed, but if you want sun, there's a sun deck with a table, chairs and ottomans. Loved it! The reef is just a few hundred feet off the end of the dock, so take a kayak out there. Really, you could swim to the reef if you wanted to - the water salinity is high enough that you don't sink! Talk about effortless snorkeling! Just beautiful! The house is well cared for and it's apparent - there's fresh paint everywhere. The kitchen, on the 2nd floor, is beautiful and large, with filtered water served from the fridge door and there's a generous walk-in pantry. The billiards table appears to be regulation size & in great shape. The balconies off the 2nd and 3rd floors are as wide as the house and the one on the 3rd floor is right off the Master bedroom (and is covered). Wonderful breezes! Air conditioners are there if you need them, but if you open the windows you shouldn't. The location is only a short $6 cab ride to the West End, where there are lots of great restaurants & little shops & diving businesses. From there you can go to West Bay Beach (take a water taxi!) and spend the day at a FANTASTIC beach, with white sand, crystal clear warm water and beach bars. (Hang out at Bananarama - free chairs if you buy food or drinks at the bar!) We really miss this place. It has ruined us for beach fun here on the East coast - nothing really can compare. We'll be back!"

  • beautiful

"We recently enjoyed a wonderful week at Seagrove Retreat. So many activities from kayaking (singles/doubles with paddles provided) , great snorkeling nearby (gear provided), paddle boards, swimming in the pool or off the dock. Which is always refreshing. Junior, Franklin and/or Tommy (care takers, who are the best!) can arrange most anything you need. From shuttle to and from the airport, to stopping by a large grocery store, and boat taxis. Call Marvin for a boat trip down the coast line (highly recommend this) , or lunch at Hole In The Wall for lunch or other places. Spend your happy hour fishing from the deck of the casita or dock. Mostly small fish so for us catch and release, but much fun. Early in the morning you will see the school bus boat pick up children and a fisherman came by the dock to sell us lobster. Seagrove Retreat is peaceful and quiet, always a breeze so sitting on any of the decks provides a perfect place to relax and enjoy the view. The houses are tastefully decorated and furnished with all your needs. All was well maintained and clean. Make sure you stock up at the grocery store as Seagrove Retreat is in a beautiful secluded area, with a rocky road and steep hill to get in and out. There are a fair amount of stairs on the property, we just viewed it as daily exercise. The owners Paul and Julie are delightful and will answer all your questions. Looking forward to our next trip to Roatan and would definitely stay here again!"
