  • Can't wait to go back again!

"Our overall vacation to Roatan was in itself one of the best one we have had. And staying at Denise's house was also part of what made the trip so amazing. We travelled with 4 adults and 4 kids, and stayed in this beautiful 3 bedroom 2 bath house. The house is much larger than what is seen in the pics. The wood ceilings are very tall, which add a lot of character and space to the house. It had a very well equipped kitchen for us to cook when we felt the need to do something in the house, instead of going out. We had a supermarket close by that has EVERYTHING and more to cook any type of dishes (Asian, Italian, American, Mexican, etc). The house has its own pool that the kids loved to use in the morning and at the end of the day, as the rest of the time we were at the beach club (no extra cost) or sightseeing throughout the island. We also used quite a bit the living room to play cards and also watch TV with streaming services (we had unlimited data plans on our mobiles as the house internet is very basic - just for email and social media but not for streaming). The master bedroom is huge! One of our kids is still young and we had enough space to have her inflatable bed by he main king size bed and still there was plenty of room left. The master bathroom was also huge. There was a nice bedroom for the adults and a third bedroom with a bunk bed for thre kids. The living room had a sofa bed, but we never used it. The house has a golf cart which was used a lot to get throughout the gorgeous overall development - golf courses, two beach clubs and restaurants. It was very handy to take the kids and grown ups around. Finally, the support from Denise in contacting us prior to the visit, giving us tips on what to do and continuously checking out how our stay was throughout the days we were there, is real customer service. I wish more people where like that when renting a place. All in all the house was impeccable, luxurious, and more than met and exceeded our expectations. We are very pleased with there house and will definitely come back to stay here! Thanks you Denise for sharing your house, sharing your insights on Roatan and for truly making this one of our best vacations ever. Hope to be back soon!!!"

  • Beautiful view, Tranquil and great snorkeling

"Dennis and Marcia have a beautiful home with a gorgeous view. They were very helpful whenever we had questions and provided a very accommodating home. It was well stocked and very comfortable. The master bedroom had air conditioning but the 2nd bedroom wasn't working. The beds only had sheets on them with no blankets. I found this odd. But otherwise just gorgeous views and very quiet. This house is away from all the hub bub (as Marcia calls the "touristy" areas). She allows the use of the kayaks to go out to premier spots to snorkel. We snorkeled a few areas and they were amazing. We mostly scuba dived and they referred us to a wonderful dive company Reef House, who picked us up right on their dock! They also have a restaurant that will also pick you up from their dock that is super close which takes you through the famous Mangroves. It's called Hole In The Wall and it has wonderful food. They live off the beaten path and I would advise renting a car so you can explore the island on your own. We rented a car because my husband wouldn't listen to me or Marcia, which was fine. The roads are very bumpy and washed out, just take it slow. If you are not used to this kind of road renting a small suv that sits a little higher would work. We did fine with a car and we drove all over the whole island. People are wonderful on the island and never once did we feel unsafe. I would sit outside on the deck and drink coffee and just look at the beautiful views. My husband and daughter also enjoyed the new pool they just put in. It is very nice. They do have a very long, steep driveway and lots of steps so just be careful with your luggage as they can be slippery. Her sister was there using her phone so she was using the phone she provides for her guests. We were not able to use it and had to ask every time we needed to make a call. This was the perfect place to stay for beauty, quiet, relaxing, eating seafood, diving and snorkeling. I recommend Dennis and Marcias place if you want to get away from it all and to enjoy the beauty of Roatan. Thanks Marcia!"

  • Beautiful

"We recently enjoyed a wonderful week at Seagrove Retreat. So many activities from kayaking (singles/doubles with paddles provided) , great snorkeling nearby (gear provided), paddle boards , swimming in the pool or off the dock. Which is always refreshing. Junior, Franklin and/or Tommy (care takers, who are the best!) can arrange most anything you need. From shuttle to and from the airport, to stopping by a large grocery store and boat taxis. Call Marvin for a boat trip down the coast line (highly recommend this) , or lunch at Hole In The Wall or other places. Spend your happy hour fishing from the deck of the casita or dock. Mostly small fish so for us catch and release, but much fun. Early in the morning you will see the school bus boat pick up children and a fisherman came by the dock to sell us lobster. Seagrove Retreat is peaceful and quiet, always a breeze so sitting on any of the decks provides a perfect place to relax and enjoy the view. The houses are tastefully decorated and furnished with all your needs. All was well maintained and clean. Make sure you stock up at the grocery store as Seagrove Retreat is in a beautiful secluded area, with a rocky road and steep hill to get in and out. There are a fair amount of stairs on the property, we just viewed it as daily exercise. The owners Paul and Julie are delightful and will answer all your questions. Looking forward to our next trip to Roatan and would definitely stay here again!"

  • Truly Amazing

"The most relaxing place EVER. The beach house is humble and extremely well equipped from the kitchen to the water-sports gear. Snorkeling in the backyard and reading on the beach shore was so peaceful. Nevada is a wonderful host, he was always available to help us with anything we needed and answered all of our questions. He even told us about other places on the island that were fun to explore. The best part of this location is the amazing views at any time of day. From the moment the sun rises the Dolphins start filling their tales and when the sun sets the sky is painted with bright stars and lightening. If you pay close attention you are guaranteed to see a shooting star every single night. Five star hotels have nothing on this intimate home, I wish I could have stayed longer. Definitely a place worth returning to!"
