  • Incredible service

"Ultimo Tango was a perfect fit for our group. Being our first trip to Nicaragua we didn't really know what to expect but when we arrived we knew that we had made a great decision. First off I would like to say that the crew at Horizon Nicaragua were on it right from the start. They made sure all of our transportation was taken care of, when we arrived at the house Dwight (our guests relations manager) was there waiting for us to show us the details of the house and basically to make us feel welcomed and to let us know that if we ever needed anything or had any questions that we could call on him. That is a really comforting feeling when you are so far from home and also to be able to put a face on something instead of just a company logo. The views from Ultimo Tango are simply incredible, you can see a long way up the coastline with all the mountains in the backdrop, it was breathtaking. We could not have been more happy with the pool set up as we would sip on cocktails every evening and watch the sun drop over the ocean. Breathtaking!! The house was very well furnished and the design was beautiful. We really didn't spend that much time indoors because there was so much to do between surfing, sightseeing and traveling around to check out the local culture of this very special country. I would highly recommend Ultimo Tango and Horizon Nicaragua to anyone out there that is looking for a beautiful place to spend their vacation. You won't be disappointed I promise."

  • VILLA SACUANJOCHE (BUBBY’S HOUSE) IS OUR FAMILY’S FAVOURITE

"We spent Christmas 2015 and New Year’s (2016) at Sacuanjoche. I stayed on for another month with 8 friends. I am going back for the 4 weeks this January (2017). Just before Christmas this year (2016) our family unanimously agreed that Christmas 2017 and New Year’s 2018 MUST be spent at Sacuanjoche. I contacted Kay almost immediately and was able to secure the house for Christmas 2018 and New Year’s 2018. So glad we acted so quickly as in my next conversation with Kay, she mentioned that she had just had an inquiry for Christmas. So my advice is RESERVE EARLY AND OFTEN!!!!! Every bedroom in this house has an ocean view with a walkout to the pool. Each bedroom is air conditioned. Junior comes twice a day to maintain the pool. We cool down many times a day in that pool. With the doors and windows in the bedrooms and in the main part of the house opened, there is a constant breeze that sweeps up from the beach. Sacuanjoche is one of only 3 houses in Rancho Santana that has direct access to the beach. We could not have asked for a more amazing location. The many beaches of Rancho Santana (5) make for many fun-filled beach days. Surfers will love the beach in front of the house. Kenya, who keeps Sacuanjoche spick and span daily, can cook breakfast for you if you wish and Kenya also does all the laundry. How spoiled are we????? A three-minute stroll along the beach will get one to the Rosada Beach Club House. There is a beautiful pool there. Also, yoga lessons take place in the club house. It is a magnificent setting so close to Sacuanjoche. The main club house is the icing on the cake. It is very very new. The main office for Rancho Santana is there as well as a childcare centre and an art gallery. It is beautiful. There is a breakfast restaurant and a main dining room. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is perfect. The pool at the main clubhouse has many many chairs for lounging. There are also many covered ranchos at the pool. There is also the ability to order lunch while sitting around the pool. It overlooks another amazing beach. Kay, who is the owner, is a delight to work with. We have many laughs and Kay share many stories about the house."

  • Spacious, modern, and clean with an incredible ocean view

"The house was perfect for our family of 4. The pool and air conditioning were must-have amenities for our April visit. Philip and his staff were very helpful and made sure we had what we needed for an enjoyable stay. The area is rural Nicaragua so there were several power outages during our week there but the house has an automatic backup generator that kept the essentials running. Keep an eye out for scorpions too: we had 3 come into the house despite being vigilant about keeping the screen doors closed. Again, this is typical for that region of Latin America. Having access to Buena Onda resort was convenient, especially for some of our meals and beach access. The house is located on a hill overlooking the ocean (hence the beautiful views!) so having a car is necessary to visit Buena Onda, beaches, and nearby eateries. The listing says washer/dryer but it's for the house cleaner although she was kind enough to do our laundry one day."

  • Natural Beauty, stylish dwelling

"Gorgeous property! Three bedrooms with three en suites. We were three couples and were very comfortable. Air conditioner worked very well. The house was bright and airy. We grilled fish that we bought from passing fishermen. We swung in the hammocks and adventured out in the kayaks. Ideal escape into nature. Well-equipped kitchen and house. I would highly recommend it."
