  • Nice house with a beautiful view. Amazing Vacation!

"We rented this house for the whole month of July and it was a wonderful experience. This is a perfect house to relax in with family and friends. Pochomil is a very remote city and there is not much to do in the city itself, but this house was a perfect spot for us. It has two large rooms with bathrooms connected to them and a third room all in the main building. The jacuzzi was like a mini pool for our kids and was a nice cool down on hot days. The best thing about the house THE VIEW! The view of the pacific ocean and the beach below is gorgeous. You wake up everyday looking at the pacific ocean and go to bed each night listening to the waves. Our family of 5 has great memories of our family meals eaten outdoors under the gazebo with the ocean right below us. You MUST hire Meyling as your chef and her husband Jose Manuel is the caretaker of the property. THEY ARE THE BEST! We wish we could have taken them back to the states with us. Again, we recommend to hire Meyling because she is the best cook in the country. Just amazing. The house is really close to the beach and we went there frequently when the tide was right. There is open sand beach and enormous rocks on the beach so there are also tide pools to check out. The beach is super quiet and with so few people on the beach it felt almost like a private beach. Also, there is a hotel just below the property and you can have a meal out at the restaurant and swim in their pool. The house has AC in all the bedrooms, cable TV, and internet. The area is safe and truly relaxing. We enjoyed renting horses for rides on the beach, renting quads and driving up to the fish market in Masachampa, we took the local bus to the waterfalls in San Rafael del Sur, we rented boogie boards and surf boards from the hotel for the enjoyment on the beach. The caretaker, Jose Manuel, was a great resource for us and helped us set up many excursions. We highly recommend this house to my friends, family, and you."

  • Casa Palmera

"A friend and I rented Casa Palmera as part of a Nicaragua surf tour. What a beautiful stop with all the amenities. The home is very open and the kitchen provides ample space for cooking and entertaining. The property manager made entering the home, our stay, and our activities all easily accessible and even set up transportation for us. The cruiser bikes allow you to access everything close by within a short bike, the surf racks made our morning trek very small. Highly recommend this rental for anyone looking to see the northern part of the country while still catching morning waves and home cooked breakfast."

  • "Maravilla" La Boquita

"This property is beautiful!! The views are gorgeous, you are right on the beach. If you just want to lay back and relax this is the place for you. There are little restaurants on the beach you can walk to. And for the adventure seekers you have surfing, waterfalls, and many different activies near by I highly recommended this place."

  • Top Notch

"The beach, the house, the pool, the food, the cook and the helper were all top notch. The cook, Lesbia, who can be hired at a very reasonable cost, is so worth it. She cooks whatever food you’ve bought in a variety of ways with a variety of tasty sauces. We found it so wonderful to not have to figure out meals, prep and prepare, and were able to enjoy happy hour on the balcony to watch the fabulous sunsets. Luis, helped in so many ways (ordering taxis, driving our u-drive, shopping with us, bought our fresh fish, shrimp and lobster for us from local fishers). His flexibility and openness was so appreciated and his driving skills excellent. Fresh fruits and vegetables can also be purchased locally. The private pool is wonderful. It’s cleaned daily by Luis. It’s so refreshingly cool for all hours of the 30C daily high temps, plus it’s a great place to visit with each other. The house has 3 bedrooms, with separation to allow for privacy. It has a number of outdoor seating areas for dining, visiting or private reading. The WiFi is excellent. We had power outages that lasted for brief periods only; affecting a broad region (not just the beach house). It’s in a beach house area and has roving nighttime security. The beach: endless, very few people on it, local fishers at low tides, sea shells galore. Swimming in the ocean in front of the beach house is best at low tide in order to be aware of rocks to either side. Although it’s in a stretch of beach houses, it is a 30-40 minute walk (depending on your pace and the tide) to the village of Pochomil by walking along the beach. Supermarkets are considerably further distant and require a vehicle (u-drive or by local taxi) to access. The sunsets are spectacular! We had a fantastic lengthy stay at Nica Beach House."
