  • Wonderful experience

"The only suggestion we have...a light over the sink in the kitchen and over the stove. Other than that, we had the most wonderful time. The house is nicer than I expected."

  • Upscale Villa With Stunning View

"The owner of the villa was extremely helpful with arrival, stay, and travel tips to ensure our vacation was hitch-free. He even organized for a few basic grocery supplies for when we arrived (close to midnight) so that we would be set for the morning. It was also great having the caretakers on-site to greet us when we arrived/departed, and to provide property support and cleaning, as needed, without being intrusive. All bedrooms open to the outside area so this is great for couples and older children but not so good for families with young children. Upside: - stunning ocean view & generally peaceful neighbourhood - open, airy main living area & spacious bedrooms/bathrooms - property is well protected so we felt quite safe - well stocked kitchen with spices/basic ingredients; great to have the BBQ Downside: - quite a hike to the local town (SJDS); best to have a vehicle - internet and cell-phone reception is dodgy; we brought our own internet hub as support - pool waterfall was not working and was missing several tiles (maintenance needed) Overall, we had a great family vacation and loved our trips to Granada, Managua, Masaya volcano, Ometepe Island, and a local adventure park, in addition to visiting many of the local beaches. While there is not much on offer for food/drink at the beaches north or south of San Juan Del Sur, there were many good restaurants in SJDS. At the time we travelled in March 2017, the water was quite cool and so we did not spend much time in the water."

  • Absolutely picture perfect

"The house was in a great neighborhood, well-appointed, with breathtaking views and superior staff. I went with a large group to celebrate the opening of the first building on the new free high school campus. We loved the ability to socialize together, but still have private spaces. The kitchen had everything we needed and the two refrigerators were a blessing. I would highly recommend this property"

  • Gorgeous Views on a Beautiful Coast

"We had 11 members of our family staying for ten days in July and we had a wonderful time. The house is modern and has breathtaking views of the pacific ocean and Nacascola Bay. It is right below the statue of Christo de Rey which is lit up at night and very beautiful. It is an easy way to always locate the house. Edgard could not have been more helpful in all of the planning stages of the trip. He even helped us get a rental pick up at a good price. The house is large and nearly every room has a view. The pool is prefect size and is designed for lounging with a view. The master bedroom is very spacious and has an enormous jacuzzi bath tub. The security is very strong with guard controlled gates and a permanent guard at the house. It is a great convenience to have Flor, the cook and housecleaner, available to take care of the cleaning and a lot of the food preparation. Both she and Lenin (the man who helps care for the house) were helpful and always available. We lost power on a few occasions but this house is one of the few that has a back up generator which means that at least the refrigerator and lights can work when the main power goes down. The A/C works well in all of the rooms but power is expensive in Nicaragua. We only had a couple of minor issues. Some of the bathrooms have poor water pressure. For a large group, they do need more utensils and plates. Finally, the flies were pretty significant when we were there. While there are no screens, if you want to close the doors and turn on the A/C, the flies largely disappear. The issues were only slight inconveniences but would not detract from a great overall experience. We highly recommend the house for those wanting a unique, first class experience."
