  • Good Times!

"I stayed at Mar y Sol with my wife and two kids for six weeks while here on a work trip. Good times! The house was fantastic, Nica style! Flor and Fran, the caretakers, treated us well. Flor's cooking and cleaning service is well worth it. Margaret was a terrific hostess. Prompt to respond to any needs. Nothing like walking two minutes to one of the area's best surf breaks! Rent a surf board, take a surf lesson, grab some food and a drink at one of the restaurants, hang out at the beach, go for walk to see the incredible tide pools, hear the howler monkeys, so much to do at Remanso! Highly recommend!"

  • Quiet place to stay, with a very nice view and close to the beach

"We stayed a week at this house with our 2 small children (3 and 6). The house is very open and nice to live in. The wind is blowing all the time specially at night so its very confortable. The beach is very close and nice to swim and to surf. The house was clean at our arrival and Eliza is cleaning also during the stay. Eliza is a really amazing cook so it's better to have her cook! She is cleaning afterward as well so it's a real vacation ! The city is not far but the road is bit rough. A car is ok though. The owner Mme Fiett, is absolutely lovely and helpful before and during the stay. We all loved our stay at villa Pavela. We highly recommend it !"

  • Excellent location, close to everything, yet feels private.

"We spent a full month in this cosy house and felt very secure thanks to the constant guards at the entrance. The personal working here was really nice, special mention to Roberto and Felix. The house is part of a 5 houses complex, all side by side. This house is the last on the right and has great space with hammock and 2 sets of table and chairs to enjoy the outside private terrace. Also enjoyed the outside space behind the house to hand-wash our clothes (other options are available to have someone wash your clothes in town). We used the swimming pool almost everyday and it was long enough to swim. Some issues every 3 o 4 days about the water quality but it was always taken care of promptly. Going to the beach is as simple as crossing the street. This beach is perfect for a family like ours. Easy and regular waves. Coming back home we could use the hoses to rince off before getting into the house. The house itself is fully furnished and has about everything we needed. Beds are comfortable, AC works fine and there are sufficient fans as well. Internet is working most of the time just fine. I will conclude saying the communication was easy with the owners and I would definitively recommend this place for anyone visiting San Juan del Sur."

  • Perfect honeymoon

"My wife and I just spent a week as part of our honeymoon. We've always loved Corn Island, and I had heard about this place from friends. This place is amazing, it lacks nothing. Its quiet, private, and in one of the most beautiful locations on the Island. When we arrived the room was spotlessly clean and stocked with everything we needed (even coffee). Miss Rachel's cooking is great and quite reasonably priced, although the room also has a very functional kitchen with a full set of dishes and utensils if you want to cook for yourself and save. The bathroom was a highlight for us as well, Until now I have not seen a proper hot water system in Nicaragua. No suicide showers here. Full pressure hot and cold running water, and beautifully decorated with Island themes with shells and sea glass. This place really lacks nothing, I don't know why anyone would waste their money on some of the more expensive places on the Island. Its even directly on the beach, I could spend hours on the veranda watching the waves and smelling the sea breeze."
