  • Tropical, luxurious, comfortable, entertaining

"I stayed in Casa Yalula for a week my husband, my 3 children, my mom, my brother, his wife and 2 kids and didn't want to leave. The location was very convenient. There were restaurants, night clubs, shops, and market all within walking distance. The house itself was a little oasis. Felt like we had a whole hotel for ourselves. It was very spacious and tropical. The living/dinning area was open to air. In the morning a family of parrots flew into the dinning room singing. Felt like paradise."

  • Relaxing getaway on an awesome beach.

"The property is nicely located on the beach and the Crowsnest accommodation provided the basics I needed for my week long stay in a self-catering unit. It is clear that the design of the space was well thought out and developed with attention to details. Overall the maintenance is good and the place is clean and comfortable. Communication with the owners was very prompt. Staff were helpful with what I needed and otherwise I had the independence & solitude I was looking for. Wifi and body boards were a great added bonus. Would have preferred if the bikes were free to use. The lobster dinner I ordered was good but pricey at 500 cordobas (only 300 elsewhere). My one disappointment was the deck area. It was located at the back of the property and thus did not face the beach. Additionally the deck was useless in the rain because it got wet and worse yet, water collected in the overhead canvas. I got soaked twice and the cleaning lady regularly got wet when trying to drain the collected water. This inability to use the deck during rainy times meant there was no good place to sit and eat. It also meant I ended up sitting inside on my bed to read or watch a movie when it was raining rather than being able to use the awesome deck chairs outside. It seems like this is something that could be easily improved. Yes I would recommend this accommodation but FYI: - If you are planning to self-cater - the grocery situation is poor. The Commisary is mostly empty shelves. Use the pulperias but you will probably have to visit a few to get what you want. I recommend bringing as much as you can with you from the mainland. - Some taxi drivers do not like to go to the end of Long Bay road - 4 drivers turned me down at the airport when I arrived before I got ride. Also, a driver during the week would not drive off the paved road. Granted it's not a really long walk along the beach... just something to be aware of."

  • Beautiful, serene & private

"Howy's casita was awesome! It is very private, comfortable & convenient. It is a close walk to the clubhouse so you really didn't need a car. Plenty of room & nice breezes all day even though at the beach it was really hot. I never even had to turn on the air conditioner because the house was so comfortable, temperature wise with the breezes. Unlike a lot of homes, Howy has screens on every window and a very nice cross breeze. The casita has everything you need for a nice getaway. The yard is very private & so nicely planted you feel like you're in your own little heaven. Hummingbirds, butterflies, birds, the wildlife was amazing. Howy stayed in touch with me the entire time and was extremely accommodating. Thank you Howy for providing such a nice casita for a wonderful, relaxing time."

  • Well appointed house in fabulous location

"We have just returned from an enjoyable month at Casa Rosita. This house has an amazing location - half block from the Cathedral and main square, one block to the restaurant row on Calzada, two blocks to the local market etc. The house is perfect for two couples as it has two air conditioned, queen bed, master bedrooms upstairs each with ensuite bath. The third bedroom has twin beds for overflow guests or children. Each master is well furnished with good linens, comfortable beds and flat screen tvs. The main floor has a spacious living area with comfortable seating for 5. The living room flat screen tv has several English channels and the wifi works well throughout the house. There is a well equipped kitchen with seating for 2-4 and a separate dining area seating 6. The plunge pool is perfect for cooling off as you step in the door. There is an assortment of colourful local art and ceramics to give the house character. The house is spotlessly maintained by Katia, and her husband, the house manager is available for airport pickups and day trip outings. Granada is a colourful and safe city with many restaurants and adventure outings available in the surrounding area."
