  • Secret Paradise Location

"W O W - wish I could give more than five stars. If you have not already, read the reviews from VRBO to get the complete picture. This is an attempt to minimize duplicate information while adding our perspective. This place is much better than described and exceeded our expectations. That was a challenge with all the glowing reviews. This is a super-fantastic 2 bedroom apartment in a tranquil, ideal setting. We will certainly return, and of all the places we have stayed around the world, this one is at the complete top of my list. Warning: if you are looking for lots of interactions with lots of people, this is not ideal. If you are looking to unwind with beautiful views and sounds (of birds, howler monkeys, and of the ocean), this is for you. My favorite things here were the views, the pool, the initial stock of groceries, and the outstanding customer service from Bob and Ann. They truly welcomed us like family. The journey from the Pan American Highway is scenic, and almost all paved. The bumps in the road for the last mile are certainly worth it. I can hardly wait to return! Keith & Angie K Ohio, USA"

  • What a lovely place!

"This review is a little late (we visited in July 2016) and actually for a different unit than this one. We stayed on the floor above in the recently finished "Honeymoon Suite". And it was way above expectations! The suite took up half of that floor with panoramic views of the ocean from wrap-around floor to ceiling windows. King size bed, large flat screen TV, full kitchen with granite countertops, beautifully appointed bath also with granite countertops and an outdoor shower on the balcony with amazing ocean views. The whole suite has the WOW factor! The white sand beach goes forever in both directions and for four days it was only us and a neighbor's dog walking on the beach. On the weekend a few (very few) locals came out to swim. There are alot of underwater rocks that are visible at low tide so the swimming is better up the beach a little ways. But beachcombing for shells and the array of wildlife in the tidal pools is awesome. Sunsets from the balcony were beautiful. Transfer from and back to the airport is available and recommended unless you have experience navigating the traffic in Panama City. After that a rental car from the agency in Coronado is also recommended. There is no close by restaurant but there is a well stocked supermarket in Coronado and several good restaurants in the vicinity. We enjoyed two seaside restaurants on two different beaches as well as a seafood restaurant on the main highway. I also recommend the short drive inland to El Valle. An Italian restaurant there, El Bruschetta, is excellent. Information on all this is thoughtfully given when you make a reservation. We absolutely loved staying at Suites on the Beach and highly recommend the accommodations, the locale & scenery, the ease of booking, and the hospitality shown us."

  • Amazing Ocean Front Property!

"The ocean and mountain panoramic views from this condo unit are absolutely stunning. We arrived to an immaculate and very well maintained place to call home. Everything was well stocked and very clean and comfortable. Kitchen was awesome! Chris and Maureen were great to work with. The building and staff at Playa Serena do an outstanding job. The Grounds are kept spotless and secure. The local property manager went above and beyond to make sure that everything was perfect for our stay. This central location is great as a home base while traveling Panama. Especially if you are staying long term. It is very close to the city and the airport. What a wonderful stay, what a beautiful place!"

  • Girls Getaway over Spring Break

"Went with my best friend over spring break to stay at this awesome place! We've never been to Panama before but it was unforgettable. The weather was hot and the sun was always out. Everything in the apartment was so clean and well-cared for. We both slept with the windows open and were awoken by tropical bird calls and the sunrise over the hills. The apartment had everything we needed, as well as a welcome packet with information on the area, things to do and how to get around. We made coffee and breakfast every morning and cooked dinner most nights and sat on one of the beautiful decks, overlooking the jungle and the ocean, truly spectacular views. We spent the afternoons with a quick 3 minute stroll down to the ocean, tanning and swimming, or at the pool chatting. The beach was so private, only a few other residents or locals were out on a walk or fishing. It was a quick drive to the supermarket, we didn't have a car, just took an affordable cab and stocked up on fresh produce and tequila! We were able to use the Internet and Apple TV to watch and work on whatever our hearts desired. We came back to New York tan and relaxed after a week in paradise, and got the best local tamale known to mankind on our way out. This is a perfect place to stay for a girls getaway or a romantic trip. The place is full of books, so if you're a studious writer looking for secluded travel, this would also be the perfect place."
