  • Very quiet, affordable and pleasant stay

"Spent 6 nights at the Boquete River Inn, very comfortable and spacious cabins. A couple of beautiful rest stops with benches along the perimeter trail to enjoy morning coffee or just sit and enjoy the views. Close enough for walking to the highway to catch the bus into either Boquete or David, with bus stops right at the entrance in both directions. Close enough to Boquete to walk back if you like to walk (downhill all the way and usually wind at your back). Ken (the owner) is a very pleasant fellow and often offers a ride into town if your travel times coincide with his. Don't miss the hike into the canyon. Stayed in Cabin #4 at the end of the road with a great view of Volcan Baru. Warm, clean pool."

  • Great apartment! Get what you see!

"We went there for our Easter Holidays, with 3 kids. Weather was great though too windy this time of the year, but had a great time. Beach is great, although there is not much shade/bohios, recommend taking your own sun umbrella. Other option is the excellent laguna and all the activities it offers, we really enjoyed it and will go back when possible! Thanks John for your prompt response! Good job of the conserjes as well."

  • Casa de K = Tranquil slice of paradise!!!!

"If you’re looking for a relaxing spot to enjoy the jungle and the beach yet still be within walking proximity to town then look no further than Casa de K! As you drive down the road leading to the house, you’ll notice the lush forest on your left and beautiful waves crashing on your right. The house itself is enveloped in beautiful native foliage inviting to many tropical birds that you're sure to enjoy (binoculars and cameras are a must). Howler monkeys frolicked among the trees bordering Casa de K...we heard them almost daily and watched them from the back deck multiple times during our week-long adventure. My favorite was the day we caught glimpses of a baby howler monkey being carried on its mother's back. Such a sweet moment to see and a lasting memory for sure! A few of the standout moments from our time in Bocas and at Casa de K: island-hopping on water taxis, visiting various beaches: (Red Frog, Paunch, Starfish, and Bluff), snorkeling at the blue coconut, relaxing in the hot pools, the botanical gardens, howler monkeys and their offspring, toucans, hummingbirds, parrots, sloths, the tropical flowers, jellyfish, starfish, watching surfers do their thing (while drinking coffee/having breakfast on the front deck), the unbelievable weather (accompanied by a few thunderstorms and rain that cooled us off and put us to sleep as it danced upon the metal roof), amazing dinners in town at El Ultimo Refugio and Bluff Beach at The Hummingbird. Thank you so much for welcoming us into your home, Kristin. We were sad to leave and look forward to visiting again. It was truly a vacation of a lifetime!"

  • Nice quiet cabins, close to nature

"We stayed for 2 nights at the start of March and used the cabin as a base to explore El Valle (we had a rental car). Cabanas Potosi is situated in calming, natural surroundings, with abundant vegetation and wildlife. In fact, without leaving the grounds you can see a huge variety of birds (especially when Dennis and Mireya conduct their daily feedings, very cool). As a base to explore El Valle, Cabanas Potosi was great. Situated slightly out of the main town, it's quiet, but you're within striking distance of all the local attractions (hiking trails, birding, local restaurants, grocery stores, etc). The cabins, while basic, have everything you need to enjoy your stay (mini-refrigerator and coffee maker, cooking kit available upon request) and you really do feel as if you're in a cabin by yourself in the jungle! Also, Mireya and Dennis were kind hosts and a valuable wealth of information. They were great to talk to and very welcoming. In short - Cabanas Potosi is a great base for touring El Valle, stay there!"
