This small cottage is in a convenient and quiet location. We had easy access to Cruz Bay and everything we needed. The accommodations are adequate, generally speaking. The bed was comfortable, and the kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed. Not everyone likes or needs air conditioning, but we like it when we sleep and we found the unit to be louder than ideal, but we managed. The hosts were communicative and quick to respond when we needed the propane tank for the house’s oven/range changed one evening while cooking and they were kind enough to share some fresh bananas from their trees. This is a great place to consider for lowkey, simple accommodations.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Allison's cottage. It is a "full" outdoor experience where you can be one with birds, geckos, anoles, frogs and even a family of crabs that come out every night. The cool breeze off the deck made it very easy to stare at the unbelievable view of Hurricane Hole, East End, and the BVI's beyond. Although the road in is rough and slow, we enjoyed the Jeeping experience, having off-roaded all over the U.S. It's really only about 7 minutes to smooth pavement.Allison first met us in person and gave us an overview of the property. She answered all of our questions, and was a great resource for things to do. She kept in touch via text during our entire stay. The snorkeling and hiking she recommended were amazing, and this spot high on the hill was perfect for getting out and about in Coral Bay.I highly recommend this eco retreat for anyone willing to conserve their resources and be one with nature. Do not rent this cottage if you are looking for resort amenities - this is much more about being present and in the moment and concentrating on things that really matter. If you cannot relax here, you probably cannot relax anywhere.Thank you once again for opening your home to us!

The property is exactly as pictured and described! It is close to Cruz Bay restaurants, shops, and bars. It is our favorite VRBO that we have stayed in, and we have stayed in many. Hope to return one day!

Excellent place for some relaxation and exploring of the island. Very good accommodations overlooking Coral Bay. The supplies are very plentiful within the kitchen and linen supplies. The cooler and beach accessories are very helpful. We used the chairs, beach towels, cooler and floaties daily. Overall, this place is great! The only drawback is that the main road down the hill does lead to a fair amount of vehicle noise at times. So it's not always peaceful and quiet. That is hard to find though on a smaller island like this.

This was our second vacation to St John and my wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The property was very clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the fact that it had a great view but was not so far up the hill that driving up and down was annoying. It was in a great location, very close to Coral Bay restaurants and shopping as well as a short drive to beaches on both the north and south shores. It was fun seeing little goats come to drink out of the pool daily as well. It had everything we needed in regards to kitchen equipment, supplies, etc. The King bed was very comfortable and the outdoor shower was a fun twist. Just 2 small suggestions to make the property even better: Because there is only one small bathroom, it would be handy to have another mirror on a wall somewhere. Also, there is a small gap in the door leading to the outdoor shower that could be easily remedied with some weather stripping to prevent bugs from getting in. Overall, great stay, would come again!

Jim was a wonderful host with good practical and helpful information. Quite comfortable for 2 couples, and well equipped. Super comfortable beach chairs and cooler were used every day and were fantastic. Decking was a highlight. Just great for morning coffee sunrise, outdoor dining, lounges were a big plus too. Views were great and easy access off the main road. Would definitely return

We had an amazing time. It's great for small families, and the owner was great at communicating all the details. We will be back again.
