Islamorada cottage rentals

My wife and I just love staying at the Bay View Cottage. We consider it our "home away from home"! We have stayed at the Bay View a few times and it is just an ideal place for my wife and I to escape the Midwestern cold! Jocelyn does a great job of making sure we are comfortable during our stay. We absolutely LOVED our stay at this delightful island cottage!! Location is perfect and private!! We enjoyed just sitting on the dock, watching the fish swim the canal, even saw a shark and sweet manatee!! Jackie was the kindest, most accommodating host. We would absolutely love to stay here again!! I would NOT recommend the Lorelei restaurant as they were rude and seemed hassled and annoyed to be there. However, I would HIGHLY recommend Papa Joes at little farther down…the service was the best we’ve experienced in the keys and the food equally as good!! Book this and stay as long as you can!!!

We were down for a week and had a perfect trip. House was everything we needed and was so convenient to have a ramp and tons of dock space.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay here during the month of March escaping the cold from the Northeast. The house was immaculate and decorated very nicely inside. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with essentials items. The neighborhood was very peaceful and quiet and the neighbors were very friendly. The house backs up to a canal/waterway from which we could watch the graceful pelicans gliding by from the very large back deck which is where we spent a lot of our time. Rene was a very gracious host and even let us check in a day earlier when our schedule shifted at the last minute. We highly recommended taking advantage of the 2 kayaks he provided as there are a number of great places to kayak thru the mangroves in the keys. We even saw a manatee and a sea turtle during one of times out and watched beautiful sunsets from the water avoiding the crowds on the beach/shorelines. Make sure you have have a way to transport the kayaks though. I ordered some inexpensive kayak racks from Amazon while we were down there. It was worth it. If we ever decide to head back to the Key Largo area again we would definitely stay here again.

Spent a little under a week in Key Largo. Loved that the house was so close to the water- my son is addicted to fishing- and that the rental included use of kayaks. The time we spent here was at the end of our extended vacation and it was a great spot to be able to relax. Super big bonus..... the listing did not lie- manatee sightings from the dock daily! Only semi-minus is that I did not see on the listing that the laundry is coin operated. I was not prepared for that and had to come up with enough quarters to be able to wash and dry a few loads. Not a negative by any means- just would have preferred to know in advance so I could have been prepared with a roll of quarters.

We had such a relaxing stay at this clean, modern, beachy property. Both inside and outside living areas were comfortable and had every convenience you could think of to make you feel at home. The location was nice - a short walk to 2 restaurants and a bike ride to Anne’s beach. Being on the canal was an added bonus if you like fish or watch nature. The hosts went out of their way to ensure we had a good time - from greeting us upon arrival to texting us recommendations of places to eat ( all of the recommended restaurants were delicious ). If we take another trip to Islamorada we will definitely be staying here. It’s a no brainer!

This was a nice property. The only issue I had was we left one bag at the property and I called the property manager Julia and explained that it was very important that we get the bag back. She said she would follow up with housekeeping and get back with me and I never heard back from her. I was very willing to pay for shipping and left the cleaning staff a nice tip. To me this was super unprofessional and essentially stealing. Make sure you do a thorough walkthrough because the staff will not report any items left at the property.
