Perfectly nestled cottage on the lake. Perfect place to relax and catch a few fish! The place is even better in person. Would definitely stay again!

This is a great property, conveniently located for FSU activities, property itself was very nice, yard manicured, screened porch excellent, security was excellent and property well lite with motion sensors all around. I would stay there again. Checkin was easy, comms with owner excellent and timely. Price was very good. We did note that the master bathroom had ants coming up the vanity drain pipe.

Who doesn't like orange trees right outside your house??? Our stay in this home was wonderful for our Thanksgiving stay. The only negative was remembering that we were right next to Maclay Gardens which means critters, and we had a noisy one under the house each evening. My family was able to hike easily each morning and the hosts were generous with the fruit on their trees. Now I can say I have juiced a pomelo!!

We chose this property because of its proximity to St. Marks NWR and Wakulla Springs State Park and were not disappointed! The area was very private with a few neighboring homes, felt safe, and while we were presumably "in the middle of nowhere" we were also a very short ride from Tallahassee, restaurants, beautiful natural areas, a grocer, and restaurants. Perfect location! There was one minor snafu the owners found with the TV just before we were to check-in and they were very transparent, honest, and courteous. Their integrity and kindness alone are enough to make me stay there again! The owners also have a great sense of humor, even if they are Gator fans, and reading through the house rules, check-in/out procedures, and other information was hilarious (and effective). PROS: - Very clean and comfortable - Great location + safe - Pet friendly with a fenced backyard - Well-stocked with dishes, cookery, utensils, etc. - Washer and dryer (dryer is even more efficient than mine at home!) - Good cell service (Verizon) - Plenty of parking - Set back in the woods (very private) CONS: - Rural internet was very slow -- too slow for streaming (no fault of the owners) - No dishwasher (not a big deal for us, but could be for others) - No vacuum (we like to tidy up when we bring our dog) BOTTOM LINE: We would not hesitate to stay here again! It's a sweet, comfortable hideaway with exceptional hosts. Highly recommended. Go Dawgs!

This was exactly what I was looking for. Quiet time in the country away from the hustle and bustle. I enjoyed hearing the sounds of the roosters and goats and having time slow down for me for a few days. Melissa went over the house rules and gave me free rein to visit the goats whenever I wanted. She also took quite a bit of time the first day to answer all my questions about life with goats. I would like to have my own goats in the near future and Melissa gave me lots of good information to think about. My goal was to get a feel for what farm life might be while taking some time to decompress from my fast-paced city life. I wish I could have stayed longer, but even a few days worked magic to slow things down. My dog also had a blast. If you are looking for a rustic, authentic farm getaway, this is just the place!
