Castine cottage rentals

We enjoyed the comfortable, attractive, and well-appointed cottage with a spectacular view.We found it conveniently located to downtown Belfast and a nearby park. We highly recommend Ann’s cottage.

This is a wonderful cottage that is well equipped for an relaxing and enjoyable stay. It's in a great location to visit Mid Coast Maine. Finally you couldn't have any better hosts than Steve and Carol Colley.

We loved this place! It’s like a mix of country/rustic and modern/bougie. It’s kinda in the middle of nowhere and yet it’s easy to access lots of beautiful mid-coast Maine within 20-60 minutes. The barn/cottage is obviously a second home for the owners, you get the feel that you’re in someone’s home, and yet it’s also really set up well for your enjoyment. We brought our dog (reasonable add-on cost), who really enjoyed the backyard. The night sky was dark and clear the first night, and it was amazing how many individual stars we could see, as well as the Milky Way. Would definitely stay again! Having said that, I wasn’t thrilled with how Evolve handled the listing details and complicated the rental process - having VRBO in the middle between host and renter is complicated enough.

The pictures online do not do this cabin justice. This is such a beautiful cabin in a wonderful secluded spot. It is back in the woods just far enough along a beautiful pond, but not too far out that getting to the main road and getting to various locations (Bar Harbor, Arcadia Park, Etc) was very easy. The cabin was spotless and clean!! It has everything you need. A fully stocked kitchen, extra towels, linens/blankets, books to read in a comfy book nook corner of the loft, WiFi , cable TV, can't think of anything they didn't have there for their quest, even fresh flowers to welcome you! The host was very responsive if we had any questions. They have Kayaks and a personal dock there for your use. They also had a supply of fishing rods and gear for fishing in the pond. We couldn't of asked for a more beautiful picturesque place to stay for our first trip to Maine! Would highly recommend this Cabin for anyone traveling to Maine. Our two large dogs loved the roominess inside the cabin and outside they loved being able to run without a leash without worry of traffic. Other cabins in the same area, allowed for you to still feel you were safe and near others but not to near ( if you know what I mean). The host lives out back, a short walk to their place if you need anything or just want to say hello. Our lab of course loved swimming daily in the pond! AAA+ Thank you again for allowing us and our dogs to stay in this awesome cabin in the woods!

This is a wonderful cabin in which to stay, very comfortable and clean, with awesome views. The cabin is secluded and we relished the peace and quiet, the birds, and the ever-changing tides.

We loved staying at this sweet cottage right in the center of Bayside! Hammocks galore, all the creature comforts we needed, and a very communicative manager made our stay easy and comfortable. Would highly recommend!

Our ideal rental in the Penobscot Bay Area is a secluded, family/privately owned single dwelling, waterfront/beach access, large stone fireplace, and pet friendly. We found that and much much more in Camp Boneau. We immediately sent in our desired week to rent, and luckily it was ours. The owners tirelessly answered questions and sent a packet of information. We replied ‘Everything you have sent: lists, rules, amenities, locations of light switches, instructions for usages, directions to your Camp, etc. etc. simplifies prior planning, and usage of time upon arrival can be spent as much on exploring the property as unpacking and putting away - tasks usually ending after dark. How cool is that!’ The Boneaus replied: ‘From the start…, we have been acutely aware that people’s time on vacation is extremely precious (being off the beaten track plays into it, too). We try to provide a good enough household organization to make things easy to “plug and play.” We want our guests to have the best possible time and the best memories of their visit!’ This was all before we even got to Camp Boneau! Without a doubt, the Boneaus have totally surpassed their intention. The Camp is incredible - squeaky clean, it has more than everything - we boggled at all the neatly arranged and plentiful supplies, amenities, a binder of maps and guides to the numerous preserves, hiking areas, galleries, stores, etc. The views of the Bay were beautiful, aided by binoculars thoughtfully provided. The long sandy/pebbly beach, 40 steps from the deck, extended seemingly forever. Secluded? We saw one person down on the beach. Big stone fireplace? We had fires nearly every night using an ample supply of neatly stacked wood. Sunsets: treated every night, with three nights of the most spectacular we have ever seen. The furnishings were super comfortable, and lights were plentiful. An enormous selection of games and books for rainy days, which we didn’t need. The Guest Book was fun to read - everyone equally enthusiastic about the Camp. Hopefully I’m not forgetting anything. Thank you Boneaus - for the best vacation. We want to come next year.
