Deer Harbor cottage rentals

It had everything we needed. Just make sure to bring a sleep mask bc there are many windows but no curtains at all. Also there is only a mini fridge so don’t buy too many groceries.

The Plum Tree house was an excellent place to stay on Orcas Island. It is in a very tranquil, green and rustic area with good hiking. Our hosts Betsy & Jim were delightful.

Very clean, comfortable, centrally located accom. Nice view of East Sound. Close to town (walkable). Good for 2 people. Gets noisy when day gets busy (cars, trucks, aircraft) but, you are close to things. Good value for $$.

Great experience. Our first time to San Juan Island and this was a great place to stay for our fam.

In this challenging time, we were so excited to get out of the house and spend some quiet time on Orcas Island. The Cottage-in-the-Barn did not disappoint! The cottage was clean and had all of the amenities we needed to keep our family of four (kids are aged 5 and 7) happy for four nights. The kids loved climbing up and down the ladder to their loft, the chickens (and plentiful eggs), the garden, Sammy the dog's visit, the board games, and riding their bikes on a dirt path right next to the cottage when we weren't out exploring the island. One key detail is that this cottage has blackout shades on almost every window! This is something we rarely see in rental properties. The shades (and comfy beds) made for nice long nights of sleep for all of us. Thank you!!

Great location. Fully equipped kitchen, and comfy beds. The Sat TV does not work but the whole point of our getaway was to get away and reconnect with family, so this does not detract from my view of the stay

Stayed her with my wife and her parents as a delayed birthday celebration for her mother. Typically, when the two of us travel, we worry little about the place we are staying, because we are often on the go exploring and enjoying a new place. However, with the family in tow, we knew that we would be looking at a slower and likely more homey-style vacation. This place turned out to be the perfect choice. The property is secluded, but still central (about a 15-minute drive) to any part of San Juan Island. The grounds are a stunning mix of open space and an impressive flower, fruit, and vegetable garden. The home was clean, comfortable, spacious, and more than met all of our needs as we lounged, explored, cooked, and caught up over the week we spent here. I strongly recommend this place for anyone looking to "have it all" when traveling to the Islands.
