Roche Harbor cottage rentals

We had a family wedding on San Juan Island and this cottage was the perfect spot for our stay. Close driving distance from Friday Harbor and the ferry landing, and walking distance to several beach spots. I appreciated the craftsmanship and charm of the cottage and it came equipped with everything we needed for our extended weekend get-away.

Songbird Retreat had everything advertised and more! Comfortable, well-equipped and clean as a whistle - our time there made island life feel very attractive. Thanks for sharing this wonderful property!

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful eight day vacation with friends in Friday Harbor and absolutely loved our stay at Woods Lake Cottage. Yvonne and Bob were a delight, always available for any questions or recommendations on all things Friday Harbor/San Juan Islands. This cottage truly felt like home. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were super comfortable, and the living areas were full of wonderful art, including beautiful glasswork, reflecting the artistic talents of our hosts. We left feeling like the cottage was truly our "home away from home", and we are counting the days until we can return.

Stayed her with my wife and her parents as a delayed birthday celebration for her mother. Typically, when the two of us travel, we worry little about the place we are staying, because we are often on the go exploring and enjoying a new place. However, with the family in tow, we knew that we would be looking at a slower and likely more homey-style vacation. This place turned out to be the perfect choice. The property is secluded, but still central (about a 15-minute drive) to any part of San Juan Island. The grounds are a stunning mix of open space and an impressive flower, fruit, and vegetable garden. The home was clean, comfortable, spacious, and more than met all of our needs as we lounged, explored, cooked, and caught up over the week we spent here. I strongly recommend this place for anyone looking to "have it all" when traveling to the Islands.

This property had everything we needed, and more! We most loved the back deck and sitting area with the fire pit. It looked out on the pond. We enjoyed walking around the property, and watching the many beautiful birds that came to the feeders. Recommend!
