  • Amazing house--great for large or multiple families!

"We (4 adults and 4 teenagers) recently returned from our stay at the Priory. The house is amazing--spacious, comfortable, beautifully appointed and full of character. I should also mention that the wifi was great, which made the teenagers very happy. The Priory is well situated in Killarney, but at the same time it is private and removed from the hustle and bustle. We enjoyed exploring Killarney and the surrounding areas by day and returning to the Priory for rest and relaxation in the evening. Tim and Bernie are lovely people and were very helpful with recommendations on numerous fronts. From Dux for the Gap of Dunloe to Dave for the Ring of Kerry, not to mention excellent pub and restaurant options (you must eat at Bricin), their guidance was invaluable. I must also mention that Tim introduced us to the Killarney Brewing Company, of which he is part owner. The beers are really good and readily available in the local pubs in draught and/or bottle. KBC is a nice stop too if you like brewery tours and tastings."

  • Home away from home.

"My spouse and I rented an apartment in Venice this winter for four amazing magical months. In part we did this to reduce accommodation and meal expenses but our main reason was so that we could experience if only a little, what it is like to live like a Venetian and to get to know some of the city’s residents. Our apartment was what we understand is a fairly typical two bedroom unit with an on suite and master bathroom and with an open combination kitchen/living room. The apartment was clean, comfortable and during our stay, generally very quiet although it is worth noting that because of age, layout and construction of Venetian buildings the walls tend to be thinner than what you might be used to and so sound will travel through the walls. We arranged with the property manager for a bi-monthly cleaning service that included bedding. If you are planning on staying for an extended period we highly recommend taking advantage of this service. As this was our first time in Venice we also arranged to hire the person who does the housekeeping as a guide for a few hours over several days to show us how to navigate the city. This was money well spent and in addition to getting us oriented the person helped us purchase tap and go cards for the Vaporatto (water buses) that are the essential transportation link for moving around and between the city’s islands. If you want to see Venice and rub shoulders with her people these cards are a must and far cheaper in the long run than purchasing per trip tickets. The apartment is situated beside a canal in a quiet residential area just steps away from the historic Arsenale (Arsenal). Nearby is the Arsenale Bar that became our favourite morning stop for coffee and brioche and just around the corner is the Formaggeria where we purchased delicious, meats, cheese and other meal items. The Via Garibaldi is a short walk away where you will find all manner of stores and shops for all your needs. For us the Arsenale apartment was the perfect location. At the end of the calle on the waterfront overlooking the lagoon is a Vaporatto station and an easy stroll away is San Marco Square, the Basilica and the myriad other historical sites and treasures of this unique and beautiful city. For the four months we were there this was our home and it allowed us to experience Venice in ways we could have never imagined and that we will always cherish."

  • Outstanding location. Unique Mews home. Very highly recommended.

"We just spent five nights at this property while visiting London. The location is perfect - an easy walk to several museums, Kensington Palace, and many places to eat/shop. The tube and Uber took care of the rest. The home itself is excellent. As stated in the description, it really is a "charming Mews home", tucked in a small side street in the center of Kensington. There is a pub (The Queens Arms) two doors down. In warm weather, patrons tend to stand outside, and there can be a bit of street noise. However, at 9pm, it's everyone inside the pub, and the place goes quiet. We stopped in to the pub several times and were made to feel quite welcome. Gordon was especially nice. The home itself is very cozy and was spotless upon our arrival. It has every amenity you could need (washer/drier, dishwasher, wifi). It is a unique space, having been a former carriage house, and we truly enjoyed staying there. London itself is undergoing a tremendous construction boom, and this area is no different. Several houses on the street are being renovated, and the workman were busy during the day (8:30-4) but there was no noise in the evening or night. The owners did mention this before our arrival, but it really wasn't an issue at all. Overall, we would highly recommend this home. If you are looking for a unique spot, pretty much in the heart of Kensington, this is a great place."
