  • Great location/best apartment ever

"We (a couple of 30y and 28y) enjoyed the trip to Rome, especially the lovely apartment and the well organized transfers (by Chiara) and the welcome by Elsa. Thank you so much for helping us. The apartment is perfectly equipped and we missed nothing. The sleeping room is really a quiet area. The location is perfect for seeing the major attractions. Shops and Cafes are nearby. We can really recommend the apartment and give our best thanks for the great customer service."

  • very italian in great location

"This flat is located on the main road between Porta Romana and the Palazzo Pitti. Main does not mean big - in fact it is one way from PR to the city. Very clean. Owner always easy to contact and very helpful. Easy walking everywhere. Buses good during the day but the C and D ones give up after 8pm so taxis home if you are out to dinner and run out of leg power. The 11 gets you to the station though and timetable is on ATAF site. The road is busy in the day but fairly quiet at night. The main bedroom does not face the road but a inner well that many other apartments have windows onto as well. It is Italian city living - you are very close to your neighbours so you do hear their phone conversations, TV, radio etc quite clearly particularly with open windows. Apart from a yappy dog downstairs (who shuts up once the owner gets home from work) and a few mornings of very early radio blasting the neighbours were not rowdy. We loved the flat - you are clearly in a home that happens to be rented out with plenty of character and "stuff" around - lots of books, videos etc. There is a TV, DVD and video player although we didn't watch it. Yes, this home has videos and even cassette tapes! Good internet wifi. Kitchen is tiny but got everything you need. Washing machine in 2nd bathroom and there is a storage room where you can hang clothes but no dryer. There is a laundrette close by. Big main bathroom - beware the tiny little step in it at night which does have sticky tapes on it warning you of its presence as its invisible! Water pressure is dependent on who else is using it so best not to shower at peak times or you end up with a trickle. Plumbing is usually like this in Italy....There are plenty of stairs up but George kindly helped us in and out with luggage. For us the piano was a great asset and the real reason we chose this apartment - my daughter practiced everyday for a number of hours. We were here for 3 weeks so had time to get used to the area and way of life. I attended the Eurocentre language school at Santo Spirito (highly recommended) whilst my daughter had a private tutor preparing for imminent exams. This is for people who want to be a little way from the tourist throngs across the river and live in a real home. Delightful stay aided by glorious weather for most of it."
