  • A Truly Tranquil Escape!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Braefoot cottage. A tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of London. Set within breathtaking scenery of beautiful fields and quaint little ponds and yet only a stones throw away from the local pub and village shop. As for the cottage, it was furnished to a reasonable standard with all functioning amenities, and had a homely feeling. Overall a brilliant short break in a wonderful place!!"

  • Beautiful Cottage and Garden, Beautiful Surroundings and Wonderful Hosts

"The cottage and garden is spacious and beautiful. Carol and Martin have thought of absolutely everything to make your stay and happy and stress free one. We (2 Adults, a 7 year old boy and a 1 year old puppy) stayed at Cobblestone for a week in August. The cottage is beautifully decorated and comfortable with everything you need. The Garden is huge, secure and beautifully kept with a pretty (safely fenced off) stream running alongside it, bench, table and chairs, BBQ, tree swing etc. My son's favorite was to visit the chickens, collect eggs and feed them. Whilst there, we had a flat tyre, Carol and Martin were so helpful. Martin helped my husband get the tyre off and Carol dropped it at our chosen garage on her way to work and collected it, with Martin helping to put it back on the car. This meant we could go off for the day and not have to worry about it, it didn't affect our holiday at all thanks to Carol and Martin. We enjoyed the Combe Martin carnival, the beach for the dog was great and so too was the Exmoor Zoo and Dinosaur & Wildlife Park! Thanks Carol & Martin"

  • Warm inviting cosy cottage

"Wonderful cottage, great location to visit lots of great locations on the North Devon coastline. For those that love to cook has everything you need to cook up a storm. Just a few minutes walk to a great local Pub - The Pack Of Cards. Very comfy cosy cottage great for the winter months. Equally a sunny deck to enjoy the evening sun. All in all a great cottage with everything you need."

  • A lovely house in a lovely location

"Having seen the description and read the reviews we had very high expectations, and we certainly weren’t disappointed. We already knew the area well from many a fondly remembered holiday along the coast at Hele Bay when our 2 children were growing up. This time we were back with 2 adult children, their partners and our two young granddaughters. I can wholeheartedly endorse all the positive comments in other reviews but rather than repeat them, I’ll mention a couple of welcome extras. One is that the kitchen is really very roomy – there’s a large area by the back door that isn’t apparent from the photo - with plenty of room to swing a cat, or in our case dodge the youngest pushing a babywalker along at breakneck speed. Secondly the house was surprisingly quiet – not just from outside noise but also internally (thick walls etc?), so even with early risers and youngsters crashing around, the rest of us were able to carry on sleeping peacefully; helped also by the (without exception) very comfortable beds. And with the location just perfect for popping down to the water’s edge with the little ones in between outings, all in all we had a really wonderful holiday. Would love to go back again soon."
