  • Beautiful House and Stunning Location

"Stayed in this lovely property over Christmas, the lounge and dining area was perfect for entertaining, kitchen was to a very high standard with lots of crockery, kitchen utensils, double oven and modern equipment making Christmas Lunch very enjoyable. The property is spacious and has a lovely outside area with BBQ which in the summer months must be lovely. Set on a quiet road with fantastic views and walking distance to Fowey's lovely waterside restaurants, shops and bars."

  • A good family holiday

"A good central point for visiting some lovely beaches and harbours. We loved the Kath Kidson mugs and there was plenty of crockery for 5 of us. We cooked in most evenings and also enjoyed fish and chips from Val's and Havannas Pasties. The outside loo was a great hit with the family - not just a novelty but very handy! The upstairs bathroom had a nice hot shower/bath and loo. We did have quite a lot of rain but there was plenty of room in the cottage for us to stay in and we enjoyed having room to all be able to sit around the dinner table."

  • Excellent cottage, perfect location

"The cottage is in the best possible location in Polruan, close to the quay and pubs etc. We used it as a base for walking as from Polruan there are so many stunning coastal and country walks you can do without using the car. Coupled with the nearby Lugger Inn for dinner, it's as close to perfect as you can get. The cottage is clean, and quite basically furnished, though is perfectly comfortable for a weeks stay. As may be expected from an old fisherman's cottage everything is quite compact, especially the bathroom, with small shower (though works fine) and hand basin. The inclusion of fast Wi-Fi is a great bonus given that mobile phone signals in this part of Polruan are very unreliable. Only minor downsides, the TV works well but is miniscule, and I doubt if the supplied electric heating would really be sufficient on a very cold winters day. We did not try to use the wood burning stove, but it looks to be fine, though no fire tools or wood were provided. The cottage is ideal for a couple, as you can use the second bedroom to store baggage, walking gear etc. However the second bedroom is quite usable, especially for one or two children, and has a nice view over the Fowey river. We hope to return next year. Colin & Jan"

  • Lovely spot,

"Went to stay here for 3 nights. We have to say it was perfect for what we wanted. Nice and close to the centre of Fowey with it lovely pubs a restaurants. The house was spotless and had everything we needed, the beds were nice and comfy and it was really quiet. The only downside is parking, there are 2 car parks one by the ferry and one further on, both cost about £6.50 for 24 hours, both are a good hike from the house. There is only one road in and we had to offload the car quickly in the hope that another car didn't come round. That said it is a small inconvenience as once you are there everything is within walking distance. A very enjoyable weekend away we will be going back again."
