  • Fantastic accommodation

"What a beautiful lodge laid out perfectly with a large living area and doors opening onto the balcony with beautiful views of the sea. The location is perfect we hardly used the car as most of the walks we did were straight from the lodge. Places of interest for us were Salcombe with stunning views and lots of dog friendly places to eat. Hope cove, Bantham beach and Slapton sands is definitely worth a visit just a short drive from the lodge. The lodge itself was well maintained and very welcoming. Lindsay was very helpful in providing us with lots of information about the area and interesting things to do, she also made the booking very easy. I would definitely recommend the lodge to friends and hope to visit again sometime in the future."

  • Perfect holiday home in Batson/Salcome

"This property ticks all the boxes. We stayed here in October 2016, and were delighted when we arrived. Although we have holidayed in Salcombe all our lives, we were unaware of the privacy and generous property size that this house allows. It was perfect for us, with it being dog friendly and in an area of Salcombe which allowed for us to walk the dogs in the surrounding countryside yet still be in walking distance of all the amenities. We could fish and canoe directly from the property when the tide was in, a very rare combination! The gardens were most generous, and very private. Communication between the house manager and ourselves was very good, and any queries were answered immediately. I would most certainly book this property again, it far exceeded our expectations, and it was a pleasure to remain in the holiday home without even going out some days, which is most unusual for us. Thank you Owners Direct."

  • Fabulous week at Peacehaven

"Spectacular views from the house and the garden, across the estuary and over to Burgh Island. The House was beautifully presented, had everything we needed and more and was very clean and very comfortable. We were able to store our bikes safely in the garage and the area is so safe that the boards sat on the car roof rack all week.We paddleboarded, canoed, cycled and walked - for miles. Perfect location in lovely Thurlstone. Great food in the Village Inn and an invigorating walk over the field to Bantham where there was plenty of parking with access to the quay for launching and the beach. The sloop in Bantham is worth a visit too. Great coffee shop over looking the estuary , in the Post office! The owner was more than helpful and on the end of an e mail for any queries we might have had. What a great find - i would recommend this house to anyone!"

  • Wonderful time with friends

"We were a group of 6 friends and stayed one week in Murrawingi just before Easter. The place is just marvellous. For walks you don't necessarily have to drive anywhere, you just step out of the house and explore. Nevertheless a car is convenient. The house is fantastic: We had breakfast on the balcony and used the fireplace in the evening. All bedrooms have wonderful views, exept one little room which looks on a wall. Of course the master bedroom is the nicest. The other bedrooms are rather small, but it's o.k. if you spend your time outside, on the balcony or the living room. You should speak about who gets which room beforehand... There are 2 bathrooms (no heating), which is convinient with many people. It was nice to find some basics in the kitchen such as tea, sugar, some spices, oil etc. There is a big choice of dishes and pots, so you can cook yourself and don't have to spend a fortune in a restaurant. Just some suggestions to make the pleace even more perfect: a big GOOD pan would be wonderful to have; a shower curtain in the bathroom would be handy. And in the living room better lights (one over the table; may be a standard-lamp at the sofa?). The contact with Sue, the owner was very easy and friendly! Thanks for having us in the house, Sue!"
