  • Truly wonderful property with fabulous facilities

"We were totally wowed by our stay at Primrose. A really beautiful apartment in a wonderfully idyllic setting. The apartment was spacious, incredibly well equipment - everything thought of and more - and beautifully clean. Many holiday apartments are just somewhere to put your head down after a day out and about, but this apartment was a real joy to stay in. I highly recommend it. The surrounding countryside was gorgeous and the nearest town of Kingsbridge was far enough away, but close enough too for easy accessibility for shopping necessities and fuel top ups. The facilities at Stancombe Manor were wonderful too. We loved the swimming pool which is beautifully kept, warm and more like a little spa with its sauna room. There's lots to do here for the grown ups and the kids as well as the swimming pool - games room, golf course, tennis courts and play park area. Absolutely brilliant! Couldn't wish for more."

  • A great house for large family holidays

"Three generations with lots of grandchildren fitted easily into this well appointed house. With a games room, garden and short walk to a great beach there is plenty to do for all ages. Walk to the The Pilchard Inn on Burgh Island (check the tides) or visit the Oysyer Shack for seafood (a short drive). A good surfing beach with all sorts of boards and wet suits for hire. Overall, a great holiday venue and thoroughly recommended"

  • Cosy cottage in perfect location

"We stayed for a week in the cottage and found the location perfect for eating out, shopping and dining. A few steps from the ferry to East Portlemouth, which we used on several occasions to access the excellent beaches and clifftop walks. The cottage itself was very well equipped and maintained, with useful extras like the electric barbecue, which we used to have steaks on the patio. We ate out on a few occasions and particularly liked the Victoria Inn. It's difficult to get parked near the property, so we bought a seven-day permit which allowed us to use the long-stay car park 5-10 minutes' walking distance (that permit also allows use of several other car parks across the South Hams). I can't really fault the cottage, though some may find the stairs a slight challenge. The owner, Ann Smith, was very pleasant to deal with and I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to friends or relatives. I certainly hope I have the opportunity to visit again in the future."
