  • Lovely medieval modernity

"Lantau Cottage is lovely and was the perfect place for us to join four other friends for a Cornish holiday. It has all mod cons, and its location in the centre of East Looe made it convenient for meals, hikes, and people-watching. If you are considering a stay at Lantau, you will be well pleased with your choice. Just a word of caution, however. Although the cottage can theoretically sleep 10 or so, in fact your comfort will be constrained by having only two bathrooms: one en suite in the top floor's master bedroom, and one on the middle floor for everyone else to share. For us, that meant four people contending for time in the loo; more than four would have been uncomfortable and awkward."

  • Nice tidy and comfortable place. Plent of character with lovely owners who were happy to help.

"Well equiped property situated in a quiet corner of Cornwall but not far from everything you need. Warm and cosy the mill conversion can be used equally as a stay at home rest place or a base to explore Cornwall's countryside and coast. A shop nearby provides much of what you need and just a short walk across the fields there is a good pub with excellent beer and decent food. Our two cocker spaniels were given the same warm welcome as us."

  • A well designed cottage nestling attractively into the side of a hill with great views of the river.

"We are four 'older' ladies from Tasmania, Australia, who love to walk seaside cliff tops, shop in quirky shops, explore new terrain, cook local produce, eat out in good restaurants and pubs and Langunnett Cottage in quaint Looe served such holiday needs perfectly. Our favourite walk was the dramatic one from Looe to Polperro. We drove easily to St Isaac, Padstow, the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Helegan and then we ran out of time and wished we had booked in for longer than a week. So much more to do and see. The listing description was accurate in all respects - admittedly both the entry by car and foot is steep but no problem for relatively fit 'elders'. The step from the footpath to the main road, does, as explained by Tracy, need to be done with care. The property was scrupulously clean, comfortable beds, well maintained and easy to look after. Tracy's customer service was very helpful before the stay and she also checked that we had got there okay. If the chance arises I would be more than happy to return and I would also recommend it to others."

  • Great location, lovely cottage..what more could you ask for?

"Loved our stay here in this very clean, well equipped cottage at the edge of Polperro Village. We had ample room for the three of us plus our small dog and would be more than happy to return or indeed recommend to any of our family or friends. We did have a very small issue with the bath tap which was dealt with extremely promptly and without issue. The parking space was so convenient and saved us high car park fees. Polperro is beautiful and we were within a 5 minute walk to the beach and surrounding shops. The nearest pub, not that any are far away, was great, friendly and cooked us and our friends a mean Sunday roast. Can't fault the cottage or anything about the area and all it has to offer."
