  • Great little cottage

"This little cottage was very well fitted out, the kitchen was good and the shower was excellent. Bern and Claire were charming and helpful hosts and the little maze of grassy paths through the large garden delighted our dog. The nearest pub was in the neighbouring village of Paul and could be walked along the bridle paths in 30 minutes (muddy in places) or 25 minutes along the lanes. Mousehole, Porthleven, Sennan Cove and St Ives are all well worth visiting. Nearest Supermarket was Lidl, about 10 minutes away."

  • Great New Year Break

"The cottage looked good on the web, and when we got there it was even better. Comfortable living area in the top half and a lovely bedroom with plenty of storage in the lower half. The bathroom is next to the bedroom - good shower and space to move round in the bathroom (which is not always the case in some properties for two people). Everything was clean and the internal finishes and furniture are light and modern. The owners, Claire and Gerard, live in the main house and they are very friendly and approachable if you want information or any help. It's a great area for walking. We walked to the Cadwith Cove a couple of evenings; it's just over a mile there along narrow lanes, but a fantastic walk on a clear night. One of the best cottages we have stayed in and I would recommend it to any couple."

  • Perfect in every way

"We recently spent a very relaxing and enjoyable week at Gwennel Barn, our fourth visit. Last time we stayed we got married so it's always a treat to revisit and we never want to leave! The Cottage is absolutely lovely with everything you could possibly need, modern fully equipped kitchen, brilliant shower, comfy bed and the underfloor heating makes it very cosy. The location is just stunning. You can be on the coast path in minutes our dogs, Alan and Douglas, loved our early morning walks to Porthcurno beach with the dramatic Minack theatre rising out of the cliffs above. Gwennel is a real treat to come back to after a refreshing day of walking in the amazing landscapes around Treen. It's so quiet at night too. Nico is always very helpful and friendly and we always start planning our next trip down immediately on our return. Thank you Nico for another perfect holiday!"

  • Perfect base with amazing views

"Enjoyed a relaxing week in January 2017 in this well appointed and beautiful bungalow overlooking Penzeance and Newlyn. On arrival a 'welcome basket' was awaiting with local bread, cream tea and other thoughtful treats which started our week on a great note. Even on rainy days we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the panoramic lounge. The location is excellent for access to the A30 and there is a dedicated parking spot which can be a rarity in Cornwall. Highly recommended and we hope to return again for more exploration of the South-West Cornish coastline."
