  • Comfortable, stylish and convenient

"The property was easy to find, on the main route to the north of Langport. First impression of the property was excellent: it was beautifully clean and tidy and set on the top floor of a well-maintained, converted 'manor' building that we learned had been built by the Kelway family a century ago, who were (and still are) known for their flower-growing business. When it came to actually living here for the week, we couldn't have been better provided for. The owners have thought of everything - from kitchen equipment to Sellotape, maps and guidebooks to reading material, DVDs and laundry supplies. The apartment was warm, welcoming and full of character. It was near - within a five minute walk - to the BIBIC centre, where our daughter had a two-day assessment, and not much further from a convenient Tesco supermarket. In Langport there were a selection of other shops, Post Office, cafes and takeaways. The (listed) Langport Stores, a deli/health food shop was worth a visit to see the original wood and brass shop fittings and to pick up the odd treat. Taunton, Bath and Bristol were good for day trips and it looked as if there were many other local attractions that I would like to have visited had we more time. Keys were available from the lovely neighbour, who I'm sure would have been more than happy to help if there'd been any problems. I feel very lucky to have found the apartment, and would wholeheartedly recommend it. It would be my first choice if we come to Langport again."

  • Beautiful barn conversion in peaceful setting

"Very well designed barn conversion with plenty of room. Excellent situation at the foot of a hill overlooking the Somerset levels, very quiet location but both Somerton and Street easily accessible for shopping."

  • Absolutely smashing

"Lovely accommodation, and great hosts. Everything you need is provided, a real home from home. The furnishings and equipment are a" cut above " and the pictures show exactly how the rooms look. Also provided is a very informative folder showing how all of the appliances work and lots of local and not so local attractions. The house is in a great location if you want to walk into Dorchester for a night out or fancy a day off from driving and want to go by train. The Wednesday market and Sunday car boot are good too and the breakfast at the market café is very good value although there are lots of more "upmarket" places to eat and drink, we found a real ale pub which served very good food with lots of different dishes to the usual pub grub and a good choice of vegetarian meals. Dorset is a beautiful part of the country and this particular part is handy for a day Devon and Somerset too."

  • Fantastic Home From Home

"We have just had a really nice stay in this property. We were a group of 10 with a baby and the barn(s) were just what we were after as the couple with the baby were able to have the smaller barn to themselves whilst we partied in the main barn. We made use of a local restaurant to deliver a meal on Saturday night which made things a bit easier and on the Sunday had a nice walk across the fields to a local pub for lunch."
