  • A cosy, clean cottage

"Myself and my family have just spent a wonderful Christmas at Rumpus cottage, it was everything we hoped it would be. The cottage is full of character and there is plenty of space as the property is over three floors. We were lucky enough to get a parking space directly outside the cottage and we did not need to use our car for the entire duration of our stay, due to the excellent location. The cottage was warm, clean and is well equipped. The beds are really comfy too, which is rare within holiday lets. The owner was very friendly from making the initial enquiry about staying and also after our break had come to an end. We had a lovely evening meal at the Black Swan Inn and took the steam train to Corfe Castle. I would really recommend this cottage as an all year round place to stay."

  • Amazing property with stunning views

"This was our first visit to Poole in Dorset and we were very impressed. Poole is a beautiful location with the Sandbanks beaches, the Poole Quay and a magnificent harbour. The apartment is fantastic, very clean and presentable when we arrived, the owner Ruth welcomed us and nothing was too much trouble. The underground parking was an added bonus. The location of the apartment is right next to a fantastic park which also has an outdoor paddling pool, there is a activity centre on the park and both my children had a go at paddle boarding. We will definitely be returning to Poole and to the same apartment. Roll on next summer!"

  • A Lovely Cottage

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Cow Byre, for one week in January 2017. The cottage is one of three around a courtyard. No-one was occupying the other two cottages at the time. The cottages are set in beautiful countryside, with far-reaching views, in a really quiet location. The South Dorset Ridgeway and the remains of Abbotsbury Castle, can be reached in an easy 15 minute walk, with far-reaching views along the coast, and the length of Chesil Beach. The cottage is beautiful, and well-equipped. It has very effective heating. The mezzanine bedroom is a lovely space, warm and snug. Our only complaint is that there is some sort of central heating or hot water motor in the cupboard which hums until midnight, but we got used to it. Apart from that, it is a perfect cottage, with everything you need for an enjoyable stay, including dishwasher with tablets supplied, a generous supply of Dorset tea, a bottle of wine on arrival, plenty of room, freesat TV, etc, etc. It is within easy reach of great walks such as Golden Cap and Colmers Hill. Abbotsbury is great - it has a good little deli/tea shop with pasties and filled rolls, and there is a lovely walk up to St Catherines Chapel, overlooking the village and the sea. We even went to the Kingston Russell Stone Circle, from where you can see the Cow Byre in the distance. We would come again!"

  • Excellent facilities, very clean, lots of space

"We are a big group of friends who enjoy long weekends away a few times a year. This is a beautiful, clean and spacious property, with absolutely everything provided for. We would certainly recommend this lovely house and is by far one of the best properties we have stayed in."
