  • La Gorce is Wonderful!

"Caspian & Lulu get everything right on every level! They are excellent hosts and La Gorce does not disappoint. They could not have been more helpful, friendly and accommodating and made us feel more like we were staying with friends rather than renting a gite. They made many recommendations for local food and markets and each one lived up to expectations. The whole property is immaculate - we stayed in Wisteria Cottage and found it large, comfortable and very well appointed. The air conditioning was a bonus as we experienced very hot conditions during our stay. la Gorce is set in its own extensive gardens which are maintained to a very high standard including the fabulous pool area. It proved ideal for our dog to run around safely & freely (at times!) To say La Gorce is 'dog friendly' would be an understatement, Jeffrey (Caspian and Lulu's dog) even popped in every morning to make sure all was well. He is an added attraction at La Gorce and an important member of the team! Caspian and Lulu could not have done more to make our stay so wonderful. We would highly recommend La Gorce and will certainly be returning."

  • Absolutely stunning!

"The Chatreuse is absolutely stunning. We stayed in late June early July with a large group of friends which the property is ideal for. The overall property and its surrounding is stunning with a view looking out on to fields. Its a perfect place to spend some time relaxing- particularly in the hot tub! The property was beautifully clean and tidy. The owners are extremely friendly, they were very helpful and met us at the house with a warm welcome. The whole stay was perfect and we will definitely be back to stay very soon!"

  • Perfect property for nine

"The property consists of two separate attached houses with six large bedrooms and five bathrooms, some with tubs and separate showers. The description was accurate and the owner provided me with a layout prior to our arrival. The main kitchen, breakfast table, dining room and lounges were spacious, clean and well furnished. There are several outdoor tables, chairs and umbrellas. The pool is very nice, unfortunately the constant rain didn't allow us to enjoy it. Anne-Laure's husband, Olivier, was present on the property in a separate apartment, and he was readily available to quickly handle any minor problems we experienced and to give directions and advice on local events. The TV room was a great place to sit, drink Olivier's wine and watch the Euro 2016 soccer matches. Wi-fi was fast and reliable. The adjacent village, Belvés-de-Castillon, is quite small; however, there is an incredible restaurant in the chateau of Claud Bellevue. They have three rooms, but will take reservations for dinner if you don't want to cook at the villa. The best boulangerie is in the main town of Castillon, just a few kilometers down the hill. There is also a very good market there on Mondays and several large food stores. A car is essential, but Castillon also has a train station where you can catch the local trains to St. Emilion, Libourne and Bordeaux. Trains are the best way to get into and out of Bordeaux as the traffic is worse than Houston's. I highly recommend this property for any large group looking to spend time in this beautiful area just 10 kilometers east of St. Emilion. Because of the layout, smaller groups may also find La Pignarderie to be the perfect place to stay."

  • MAGNIFIQUE !

"Superbe gîte en pierre très bien équipé, spacieux et moderne. On a apprécié le calme et la tranquillité dans un cadre magnifique. La grande piscine chauffée a fait le bonheur de toute la famille. Idéal pour une ou deux familles. A recommander sans hésiter !"
