  • Complete relaxation

"Our stay at "Le Pige" will go down as one of the most joyous holidays that our family have ever had. Rachel and Chris are the most perfect hosts, never intrusive they just seem to know when they might just be needed and along with the delightful little Ellie they made our stay a perfect one. Set in a beautiful area of the Dordogne, it was a joy to drive to some of the neighbouring towns through the gently rolling countryside decorated with stunning sunflower fields and lush green vinyards. Our children loved the pool area and would have been more than happy to have spent the whole of our stay swimming in the pool and playing monopoly on the patio area. If "Le Pige" has a problem with it, that is it. You just don't want to leave it. Needless to say we'll be coming back. Pete, Magdalena, Viktoria & Olivia"

  • Excellent for families

"If you enjoy your lie in then be warned, there is a church virtually on the doorstep where the bells ring from 7am on every hour through to the evening, at 8am and 8pm they ring like crazy, I assume for mass. However, if this doesn't bother you then this is a fantastic place to stay. It is well equipped for children with a toy room, trampoline, swing, table tennis and toys for the pool. The kitchen was great as were the bedrooms, although the pillows were not the most comfortable. The pool provided hours of fun for us all and was a pleasant change from chlorinated pools that we are used to. The location is very quiet with only the church and a town hall, the supermarkets are a short but easy drive away. The gite was spotless and Anahi, the housekeeper, was extremely helpful. The only thing that would put me off returning is the church bells, when I'm on holiday I like to lose track of time and definitely don't want early morning wake up calls."

  • Perfect! Wish I was back now!

"Down a peaceful small side road surrounded by a beautiful garden. Only 2 minutes by foot from the bustling bastide village of Eymet. What a perfect few days away, The gîte is tastefully finished and very comfortable - sleep came easily, we were left wanting for nothing. Sue and Jeff were absolutely fab hosts! We arrived late Sunday afternoon and didn't have any milk. Sue not only provided milk but a lovely bottle of wine! They also took the time to talk with us about the experiences of living in France over a glass or 2 of red (as we are planning to move to the area.) Their info was invaluable. We also got into talking about Jeff's work in special effects on such films as Superman, Indiana jones, Star Wars, Labyrinth and Dark Crystal! Absolutely fascinating. Can't wait to go back. Highly recommend."
