  • Fabulous property, fantastic location.

"Wow! What a gem. The property is very well maintained. Monique who manages the property made time to show us the area on our first evening, suggesting restaurants (there are many!), where to go and what to see and do. An amazing location with reliable transport links. You can either stay and enjoy Villefranche or explore places nearby. There are lots of steps, but the view you get is worth it and you can also justify eating croissants each morning guilt free! We will happily return and actually found it hard to leave. You will have a very happy and comfortable holiday if you stay here."

  • Perfect for our requirements

"We stayed in this charming Provencal house for a month in September and it met all our requirements. Travelling from the other side of the world, it's not practical to stay for just a week in Europe , but a longer period can be rather expensive especially on the Riviera. This house however ,was very good value for 6 to 8 people with plenty of room and very comfortable. The warm evenings on the terrace watching the moon rise behind the cypresses is the stuff dreams are made of! Though not super- luxurious, it was clean and comfortable and therefore very relaxing. The appliances - dish washer, washing machine, microwave etc were all in very good condition and there was plenty of cutlery, crockery . Lovely old village and good beach and loads of places to eat. The water temperature was a very pleasant 25o C. Some members of our party wanted to extend the stay for a couple more months! The owner was very co operative and helpful with long distance organising. It was also helpful to have a garage as, although the street was very quiet, parking was limited."

  • Great Location, Nicely Appointed

"The 2-bed, 1 1/2 bath apartment is nicely maintained and contains the updates you'd want in a historic structure (including 3 heat pumps -- one in each bedroom and one in the kitchen/dining/living area). It's a great location with good functionality. The only two digs that can be made of this apartment are the very steep stairs to get in and out -- my wife and I are in our mid-60's and did just fine - but many will find it challenging. And, there's no view. Since the Riviera is one continuous beach-sea landscape, we didn't mind not paying the premium cost that would have accompanied a view. We had some amazing meals just a couple of minutes out the front door, and shopping for fresh produce and breakfast items was equally easy. If the French would just recognize that the train system would be so much more accessible with bi-lingual instructions on their automated ticket kiosks -- like most European laundromats are fully capable of providing - then the tourist experience would be sublime."
