  • Beautiful French Apartment is Roomy and Quiet!

"This roomy apartment was full of antiques , stained glass and natural lighting. If you ever wanted to live how the french live, this is your place! The owner, Marietta, met us at the apartment. The place was super clean. She had a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge along with a cake from the local Boulanger and beautiful fresh flowers. Marietta went above and beyond what is expected of a landlord in my book! She has taken the time to make up her own little guide book of local amenities and information, which we used. Very organized! The apartment has everything you could need. The wifi gets slow if you have more than one person on it at a time. The flat is located on the top floor, but you do have an elevator! It's a small elevator , but it works just fine. Location is great! Metro stop and grocery store are a block away. Interesting thing, though. The apartment is very quite! You don't hear any street noises at all, until you are on street level and out of the gate! I would recommend this flat to friends and family for sure. One little bonus for me was the piano! It was tuned and sounded great! Played piano everyday!"

  • An Excellent Flat in a Great Location!

"My wife and I loved the flat. It is spacious, well organized and in a perfect location near restaurants, transportation, shopping and museums. The descriptions on the web site are very accurate and give a good impression of what the flat is actually like. Marie-Ange is very responsive and helpful (by phone), and Emilie met us as arranged and gave us a good briefing on how the appliances worked. The washer/dryer is excellent. Emilie suggested the wash/dry program 13 which leaves the clothes a little damp. I ran the dry only program 11 and interrupted it in mid cycle by pushing the run/pause button and then holding down the on/off switch. The red "door locked" light goes off in a few seconds. The small dishwasher works well. If the dish basket won’t pull out, make sure the front wheels are not caught in the black stops. The front wheels need to be ON TOP of the stops at the bottom front of the wash chamber. The phone is VERY useful, and the G7 English speaking taxi service is efficient and responsive. We used them several times. Internet is fast and reliable. The flat is near Café Le Procope (where Napoleon left his hat for security for the bill) and Mariage Frères, an amazing teashop where you can have, yes, afternoon tea! The Monoprix super market is a few blocks south on Blvd Saint Michel and contrary to what Google says is open on Sunday. The food market is in the basement down the escalator at the back of the store. There are lots of kebob shops and such around the corner. Rue L’Hirondelle (swallow street) is a quick short cut for pedestrians to Place St Michel and Chez Clement, a decent Paris chain restaurant. The flat is on the premier etage (one floor up for yanks) and the staircase is a little tricky for people with limited mobility like my wife. But she managed without too much difficulty. Shouldn’t be a problem for anyone who can climb a flight of stairs. There is a good handrail. Sainte Chapelle, Notre Dame, the Cluny Museum are all within easy walking distance. You can buy your museum pass in the souvenir shop across the Blvd Saint Michel from Ste Chapelle. The location is very convenient to bus (our preferred mode of transportation), Metro, and RER. Lots of storage. Plenty of guide books! The king sized bed is great! We didn't use the futon. It would be a tight squeeze for adults, but good for kids. A GREAT flat for a couple who want a central Paris location. We would highly recommend it to friends and family."
