"This was one of the best experiences we have had on holiday. Paula made the whole rental experience a piece of gateau! Prompt responses, informative, and always professional. The apartment was fantastic, clean, well furbished, well located. This was a family vacation and it was perfect for the four of us. Location is great, all the amenities you need just outside your door. Restaurants and bakeries located on the same street, and if you want to cook at home, fresh groceries, just down the street. If you want a home away from home, this is the place for you! Thanks again Paula."

  • Discover Bougival

"Up the hill in Bougival, past the shops that crowd the narrow Rue du Général Leclerc and up the Rue du Maréchal Joffre, one finds narrow steps leading to the Rue de Emile Richebourg. Rue Richebourg is really a quiet narrow alley, and beyond the heavy gate at 9 bis, is nestled the quiet lush gardens and the charming house of Monsieur Claude Hainigue, the house of his birth, and one that he now lovingly maintains for his rental clients. Bougival is well-known for the impressionist painters like Renoir who found its proximity and easy access to the city of Paris and its unique combination of long summer days, the river Seine, and nearby villages like Bougival, an attractive setting for their compositions. In Bougival the visitor can walk the route of the impressionists and visit the sites of many of their most famous works such as the Bridge at Bougival (Claude Monet ) and the Ball at Bougival ( Pierre-Auguste Renoir ). We enjoyed several days with the locals on the Isle of the Impressionists at summer festivals during our three-week stay. During our visit we had several sets of short-term guests who stayed in one of the upstairs bedrooms and enjoyed the benefit of their own private bathroom. At the same time, the downstairs rooms of the house provide several areas for family or group gatherings. The house has a good Wi-Fi Internet connection and a good washer and dryer. Access to Paris via RER ( Chatou-Croissy ) or SNCF (Bougival or La Celle Saint-Cloud ) is fast and easy. Monsieur Hainigue is a gracious host and his home is well equipped to be your base exploring the region around Paris such as the Palace at Versailles. The home is well maintained, clean, and the kitchen, while small, has modern appliances and everything that might be needed to cook full meals. There is a patio off the kitchen for a pleasant breakfast amid fig trees and a front porch perfect for cheese and wine in the evenings. The front porch overlooks a large, well-manicured garden with lovely flowers and swing sets for children. It is a pleasant walk down the hill to the butcher, several bakers, small grocers, and several ATMs. The walk back up is guaranteed to keep you in shape. The village boasts a surprising number of activities and cultural events, which are enthusiastically offered at the local tourists bureau and several excellent restaurants, including an outstanding Michelin 1 star restaurant where we had a terrific dinner."

  • Quaint top-floor apartment in one of the best neighborhoods in Paris

"My husband and I spent a week at this lovely apartment just a block away from the Jardin du Luxembourg. The owners were very responsive and willing to answer all of our questions before leaving the U.S., including letting us stop by the apartment early (we arrived on an early morning flight) and drop off our luggage before the official check-in time. The apartment itself has a lot of amenities that are not common in Paris -- an elevator (so helpful for heavy luggage), air-conditioning (a portable unit that worked very well to keep the apartment nice and cool during 90F degree days), a large shower, reliable wifi, microwave, etc. We did not use the dishwasher, washing machine or stove, but it is a nice option for anyone staying longer. Our favorite part about this apartment is the location -- across the street from Bread & Roses bakery, a 1 minute walk to the Luxembourg Gardens, and walking distance to many of Paris' most desirable restaurants, cafes, shopping, and other sites. Thanks Pary and Lewis for a wonderful visit and for your hospitality!"

  • Perfect location.

"We had a great visit. Apartment was everything we needed. Location in Marais was ideal. The property management company was very gracious in meeting us and making sure we were totally comfortable. Place is very clean with numerous amenities. Walked to restaurants/shops/museums/metro. Two adults/two kids. We did not cook or spend a lot of time as we were out and about enjoying the wonders of Paris. Highly recommend for anyone intending to do the same."
