  • Beautiful apartment, fantastic location

"We were in Paris for a girl's weekend/birthday celebration and could not have picked a better place. Not cheap, but so worth it for a special occasion or a group/family. Four generous bedrooms & multiple bathrooms ensured that we all had our own space; the huge living/sittingroom and well-equipped large eat-in kitchen allowed us to hang out and bring in the requisite pâté/cheese/baguette/wine dinners on two occasion. The decor is funky and personal, with new things to discover every time you get lost in the enormous space. The elevator is small but very helpful for luggage, given the apartment is on the 4th floor. The owners were very responsive, including to our requests to get the keys early and drop off luggage as well as to leave it for a couple of hours after check-out time. The "memo" with do's and don'ts is a bit daunting, but most things on the list are self-explanatory for anyone inclined to respect another's living space. The only minor issue is that the WiFi seems to have somewhat limited bandwidth when there are 4 people with their various "devices" active at the same time. There is ample shopping (incl a late-hours Monoprix, but also clothes and other things) right outside the door, and a Paul's a block and a half away for those wonderful breakfast croissants and pastries. Les Galeries Lafayette are a 10 minute walk. Would definitely recommend to anyone keen on making a special weekend in Paris a little extra-special."

  • Live like a Parisian in Le Marais

"Location, Location, Location. We found it to be ideal. Easy walks to a number of good restaurants (our favorite “Le Temps des Cerises”), a couple minutes to the metro in one direction, and a few minutes to the Seine in the other. We needed a laundry upon arrival and we found one with a helpful attendant a few blocks away on Charlemagne. Our perception of the neighborhood was that it was quite safe to walk in late at night, and felt our possessions in the apartment were secure as well. Coming from a good sized suburban California home we found the size of the apartment a bit of a cultural shock when we first walked in, however after settling in everything was quite manageable for two adults. Ground floor was also a big plus as most buildings in the area don’t have elevators, and many of the other units we considered were 1st floor and above. WIFI signal was strong with a fast internet. This is a basic apartment in a residential neighborhood, and does not have the services, amenities or feel of a hotel or designer B&B. If you tend to lounge around your room a lot a hotel may be more comfortable, but if you want a place to stay while you get out and experience Paris this apartment may work out well for you. Leila and Don were very easy to work with through the booking, and provided neighborhood information and local contacts should a problem arise (none did for us)."

  • It's all about location!

"We had a great stay. Communication with the owner before the trip was great. He provided us with a good link for a shuttle from the airport to the flat. I highly recommend this service. The flat is good. The bathroom is new and very pleasant (good shower). The kitchen had all we needed to cook at home every night. The washing machine was stuck on a delicate cycle but did the trick anyway. We had to hang our clothes to make them dry and it worked well thanks to the heaters in the flat. Our family is large (2 adults, 4 children and a baby) and the flat was perfect for us. We turned the living room in a dormitoty ;-) and still had enough space to feel comfortable. Last but not least, the location is PERFECT. The Marais is really nice, great food, interesting history, nice atmosphere and the flat is very close to the Saint Paul metro station going straight to the Arc de Triomphe and other touristy places. there is also a direct bus line to the Louvres and Eiffel Tower. Other tourist attraction are within walking distance. We have absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend this rental. The price is very affordable for such a great location."

  • Very good

"Convient to transportation modes. Close to several historical sites. Quiet neighborhood until the scaffolding began. Grocery store close. Found some wonderful small resturants close by, that should have been mentioned by the owner and were not. Could be pretty but it has a lot of "junk" in it, An big leather old chair you can not sit in because there is no bottom, a piano in the kitchen,a sofa that is to low,no ice trays for cubes, coffee cups had to look everywhere to find four, none matched, two were tin and one had a broken handle, wine glasses the same, cork screw broken, could not cook, fuses blew all the time, freezer is really dirty, lighting- difficult to use and is awful. Asked for fans, got none, it was hot. No organization."
