  • Perfect Location, Lovely Owner

"4 of us shared this accommodation during a 4 night stay in Paris. We were delighted with the location, a 5 minute walk to the Louvre and just a few steps away from the Velib bike rental stands. Naomi could not have been more helpful, especially when we arrived and had to scurry around trying to find parking for a taller vehicle than can be accommodated in most Paris parking garages. Ben Franklin's Paris Salon was also a great price when compared to other similar accommodation in Paris. The 4 of us are used to travelling together and sharing accommodation - my only caveat for others is that you might find it a bit tight as the second bed site is in quite a low loft accessed by a ladder. Perfect for 2 people or 4 who don't mind a bit of a squeeze."

  • Comfortable Apartment in a Wonderful Location

"I stayed at this apartment with my daughter and thought it was great! It had everything we needed. Both bedrooms are in the back, off the street, so there was no street noise and we slept well in very comfortable beds. Having a full bathroom and a powder room was very convenient. Rue de la Sourdiere is a pretty street, and there is excellent shopping at either end, on Rue. St. Honore and Avenue de l'Opera. The Roissybus goes between Charles de Gaulle airport and Place de l'Opera, which is an easy walk away. Plenty of groceries are nearby, as is the excellent bakery, Eric Kayser, which has wonderful croissants, bread and pastries. The local outdoor farmer's market was a great place to buy artisan cheeses and charcuterie, beautiful produce, and gifts. We also loved the location because you can walk almost anywhere in the city from there, and there are several metro stops as well as buses and taxis nearby if you don't feel like walking. I would happily stay at this apartment again!"

  • Wonderful location with great acomadations. Clean secure bright comfortable.A second home.

"The check in was easy with clear directions given along with a book with printed details. The beds were comfortable. My daughter slept on a pullout in the living room and appreciated the sliding pullout doors that turned the room into a private space. The other beds and bedrooms were comfortable and there was adequate closet space to place our bags. The bathrooms were clean and modernized. The kitchen was also up to date. A computer was provided with wifi connection. The front door was like that of a bank vault. The building were quiet and the elevator was great for getting the bags up to the flat although we usually took the stairs up and down the winding staircase. There was a locked gate to a courtyard followed by a locked door to the building as well. We had no problems with the apartment and plan to stay here next time we are in Paris."

  • Great location, accommodating owner--highly recommended

"This unit is located within a 10-minute walk of the Louvre and is also close to Forum Les Halles (shopping and Metro) and about a 15 min walk from Pompidou Center. There were a number of eating establishments nearby--one of the closest and one of our favorites was the Brasserie de la Bourse. Also conveniently located within a block or so is the grocery store G20, from which we purchased supplies, food/deli items and wine. We stayed in this unit last year and were so delighted with the unit and its location that we returned to the same unit this year. The owner, Philippe, was very accommodating and went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed. It was very easy to communicate with him via email and he responded very promptly. Valerie, the building supervisor, was very friendly and let us into the apartment. She does not speak English. The unit is on the top level (7th floor by American count, 6th floor European count). The elevator, which is petite, only goes up to the 6th floor (5th floor European counting), with 1 flight of stairs leading to the top floor. Always press the light switch before you go up the stairs, especially if it is dark, so the lights don’t go out before you reach the top of the stairs. A locked door to the hallway before the apartment door provides added security. The views from the apartment are beautiful—from one window one views the Bourse and Notre Dame, and from another window, one can see the upper portion of the Eiffel Tower. The apartment is 44 sq meters and comfortably accommodates 2 people and maybe a 3rd person—the bed in the bedroom is comfortable and so is the sofa bed in the living room. The bathroom includes a shower. The unit has a small kitchen with dining table, a microwave oven with steam cooking features, 2-burner electric cook top, cooking utensils and dishes, a small refrigerator (no freezer), a small combination washer-dryer unit and an iron. Philippe was good enough to provide an English translation of the operation manual for the washer-dryer. It is so helpful to be able to do laundry at home—we found that unless you are prepared to iron clothes, it is best to just wash and damp dry. Since the unit is on the top floor, the ceiling slopes along some of the outer walls, including in the bedroom and the bathroom; be mindful that you do not hit your head as you get up from bed. Living here for 4 weeks almost felt like we had our own pied-à-terre without maintenance. Highly recommended!"
