  • Cozy and Comfortable

"This studio apartment was in a great location for my interest in Paris. It was clean and comfortable. The only drawback for me was no natural light. The windows are street level and completely covered. While this affords privacy, I really missed not being able to see the light of day. The owners live near by and were available to help solve any problems such as accepting a delivery or helping me get a taxi. Overall, it was a very pleasant arrangement."

  • Amazing size, tranquil right in the heart of Paris!

"We loved our stay at Annette's house - yes, a house in the centre of Paris! Quiet and with lots of room to move for 3 adults and 3 children (two 7-year olds and a 3 year-old), the location is a short walk away from the Luxembourg Gardens, the Metro and shops. Annette was very responsive, and great with communication. Would happily recommend to friends and family."

  • A memorable stay

"I had the good fortune to stay in this apartment for over a week. The experience was more like a good friend handing over the keys to their apartment than renting a cold impersonal space obviously set up to lure tourists. The owner was so kind and considerate when a family emergency forced me to change arrival at the last minute. The apartment has soaring ceilings, huge windows with an incredible view over Montparnasse, tons of light (but the drapes block it out if you want to sleep late), and the building is quiet! I hardly ever heard the other residents. The bed was very comfortable (there was a second bed I never used and you could sleep kids on the sofa in the living room), there was always plenty of hot water, the kitchen had everything I needed to cook breakfast and to entertain my friends one night by making dinner. And I really was so grateful to have cable TV to watch the local rugby matches. I have been travelling to Paris for 18 years and have always rented apartments. This one is among the best I have stayed in and I hope to be able to find it available for my next trip. This district, for me, IS Paris - rue Daguerre has wonderful food -- top class butchers and fish mongers and cheese shops and bakeries wine stores, it is very easy to buy food like to take out and eat at home and you won't feel like you are missing out on great French food in the good restaurants - the good restaurants buy their products from this district. Don't miss the fish market that makes several dishes to take home and reheat every day - you can feast on wonderful meals. But there are also really great bistros in the area and along Boulevard Montparnasse which is a short stroll away. I note this place may be difficult for renters with mobility problems: while there is an elevator to the apartment, once inside access to the bedroom and bathroom is via a very long (by American standards) flight of stairs. The clothes closet is downstairs so you won't be able to dash from bathroom to getting dressed unless you want to put on a show in the big windows. Also, the heat from the radiators was substantial. I only had one on because I couldn't shut if off as I did all the others and even with one radiator the place was super warm (too warm for me for sleeping). Those are petty caveats that are easily worked around. Thanks again to the owners for opening up their home to me. It was a joy to live here for awhile and also to make a new friend."

  • Excellent Apartment for 2-3 Travellers

"My wife, daughter and I travelled to Paris this November to spend a wonderful week seeing the most romantic city in the world. Our hosts were gracious and accommodating, the apartment exactly as advertised - Clean and quiet, with excellent appointments in the kitchen and bathroom. Access to public transport was a huge plus - 3 minutes or less by foot to bus routes, and about 10 minutes from the Metro. Both are fast, safe and reliable. One is minutes away from groceries, restaurants, pharmacies, and even major attractions to the area. We are ever grateful, and because of it, had a lovely, memorable, and easily accommodated trip. This apartment is a sure bet."
