  • A wonderful place to stay

"I had the pleasure of living in this lovely apartment for 3 months. The apartment's location is ideal for longer stays as it benefits from of being in a residential area (local shops, kids playing, quiet, local parks) as well as easy access to all the amenities a visitor is interested in. The apartment is well designed and feels larger than it is. The separate kitchen, the hallway, wonderful windows and space for writing, reading and sleeping all contribute to a wonderful living space without any sense of being cramped. People in the building were pleasant and I loved the traditional elevator. Access to shops, transit and restaurants are within blocks with the dilemma being which one to choose. The owners were delightful to work with and responded immediately to the few queries I had. I look forward to staying here again."

  • Superb

"The location was perfect for reaching all areas of Montmatre and the Metro at Abbesses was just a stone's throw away allowing easy communication to the rest of Paris. In the evening one didn't have to go far to find somewhere to eat and at night the triple glazing meant it was a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of the area."

  • Wonderful stay away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist districts

"Bottom line up front: four thumbs up!! The photos are accurate, and Corrine is easy to communicate with. This was our first visit to Paris, and it was nice to have a temporary "home" in the city rather than a hotel room. Simplon metro (line 4) is within a 3-4 minute walk, and the Jules Joffrin stop (line 12) is 5 minutes in the other direction. Dozens of shops are within 1-10 minutes' walk to meet daily needs (gadgets, laundromats, butchers, bakeries, café's, grocers and supermarkets -- even two McDonald's). We really enjoyed the expansive street market that bloomed nearby Sunday morning. Everyone we interacted with in the neighborhood was pleasant, helpful and patient with our complete lack of French. We walked (up LOTS of stairs) to Montmarte, and used the Subway, the bus, and Uber other days (Early morning Uber ride to near the Eiffel Tower came to approx. $14). A real surprise for me was that everything "fit". I'm a large man (190cm+/125kg+) and often I find myself in beds too small and showers too short when traveling. Not so here. The fold out bed in the living room (the orange sofa in the photos) was surprisingly large and comfortable when pulled out, and the shower was adjustable to accommodate from petite individuals to all but the tallest professional basketball players (water pressure and temperature were great, by the way). My traveling companion, who is only a bit smaller than me, found the main bed equally comfortable, and appreciated finding a 220v hairdryer in the bathroom. A note -- photos 2 and 3 show a conventional oven and an older TV and microwave. Photo 7 shows these have been upgraded to a small flatscreen TV, a new large microwave, and a nice glass-top range but without a conventional oven. The rest of the kitchen was fully outfitted with plates, cups, pots and pans, flatware and kitchen tools. Lastly, don't underestimate the value of ground floor accommodations -- we were happy to not have to negotiate flights of stairs, especially when burdened by luggage or end-of-day fatigue, though you do have to watch your step when transitioning across a small stair threshold just before entering the apartment courtyard (we both are in our 50's and not the most agile, but we had little to no difficulty once we were accustomed to the layout of the entry). This is a real home in a real neighborhood - just what we hoped. Thank you Corinne."
