  • Beautiful apartment!

"Loved our stay at Evelyne's apartment... so much that we talked about never leaving. She was very accommodating as our flight was delayed and we arrived 1 day late."

  • THIS is how to stay in Paris!

"Thoroughly enjoyed our 5-night stay here. Given the microscopic size of most Paris apartments, this place at over 750 sf. felt downright luxurious. It was wonderfully and warmly outfitted, with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The two wide and tall living room windows made for great people-watching. And, unlike an apartment clearly designed AS a rental, the owner’s many personal touches made you feel like you were staying in a friend’s house while they were away. Several mornings, rain kept us inside beyond when we would have left for the day, but the place was so homey and comfortable, we didn’t mind hanging out. Check-in instructions were very well explained, and we encountered no problems. The neighborhood is quiet, and yes, just a few minutes walking to Sacre-Coeur. There is a long staircase leading up to the Place du Tertre/Sacre-Coeur area of Montmartre, and which is a local transit point for foot traffic. As such, you might experience a bit of street noise, but compared to many other places I’ve stayed in Paris (a notoriously noisy city at ALL times), this was very quiet. Also, Montmartre IS hilly, with lots of stairs (as does the whole Paris Metro-station system). Personally, we loved the exercise (it helped us earn our wine and pastries), and we felt stronger every day. But if stairs are a problem, you might want to explore flatter parts of town. All in all, a wonderful place. Given how you can easily spend $200-$400 a night in this town for a tiny hotel room, to be able to get all this for far less than the low end of that range makes you feel like you’re getting away with something!"
