  • Cozy and central apartment in an old building

"I stayed for two nights only with three friends. We did not really do a lot in it, apart from sleeping. The apartment is very cozy and you can feel the life in it. As it is in an old building, the ceiling is very high. The location in the heart of Paris is perfect with many things to see and enjoy in walking distance. During the night it is quiet, as the apartment is not directly at the street. There were 4 beds, one for each of us. I would recommend this place for a visit to Paris. Thank you."

  • Location, Location, Location

"We are Americans and tend to be on the spoiled side, so please take this into consideration when reading the review. Pros: *Jerome was extremely helpful and responded to all of my inquiries within minutes. *The location of this apartment was second to none. Close to everything you need, including a wonderful cafe at the end of the block. *Portable A/C in the master bedroom (although we were uncertain of how to use it) *Great art work, nice selection of Paris Guides on the mantel *Spacious *Lots of natural light (except the bathroom) *Pressed and crisp sheets! Cons: *It's a loud street - cars honking and the music started pretty early in the morning and continued past 11:00 pm (not sure if it was from an adjacent apartment or the surrounding businesses). I would recommend that Jerome add a few fans to the apartment, not only for air circulation, but to drown out the noise when sleeping. *If you're planning to cook, this is not the kitchen for you. Hardly any pots and pans, knives, etc. No paper towels (maybe this is an American thing), only one kitchen towel for drying dishes, and a random dirty tennis shoe mixed in with everything. The refrigerator smelled so badly, that we hesitated to use it. Maybe it was turned off or very low before we arrived? Also, the washer and dryer were a bit challenging to operate - perhaps instructions might help. *The bathtub was a bit challenging to get into and the shower head is short. If you're a tall person, you'll have to use the hand shower, but be careful, as there is only half of a glass shower door (I think it's more like an "insert"). Don't open the "insert" door after a shower, or you'll have water all over the floor. No wash cloths, no shampoo/conditioner or soap. We didn't expect these things, but it does make for a nicer stay. *The rug on the floor curls, so be careful; we tripped on it several times (it's also a bit dirty). *The master bedroom closet was filled with stuff on one side, so only half of it was usable. This was fine, as we didn't have a lot of clothing with us - but if you're needing extra hanging space, it might be bothersome."
