  • Just what we needed – central, safe, roomy, homey – a truly Parisian experience

"My (just about 5 year old) daughter and I stayed in this apartment for 6 nights, and loved every moment we spent there. It is very spacious (90m2), and is located in the heart of Paris - le Marais (near Beaubourg/Pompidou and Hotel de Ville). It is on the 3rd floor (with elevator). The couple that own the flat are well travelled, and know to leave a few essentials like dish soap, toilet paper, paper towel, body wash and soap, hair dryer etc., to avoid you having to go to the shops after a long trip. Everything worked well: the oven and stovetop, all the taps, the shower/tub, the toilet, the lights, the coffee maker (traditional Italian espresso maker - for stovetop use). There is no dishwasher, but there is a clothes washer (that we did not use - but it looked like a new model, and was in good shape). The water pressure was good and the hot water worked well in the shower/tub, but took a little time to warm up in the kitchen. The owners have a young daughter and left toys for my little girl to play with. She had a lot of fun, and was thrilled to have a bunk bed to sleep in. The bed mattresses are firm, but this was not an issue for us. As far as food and supplies go, rue Rambuteau is just around the corner and has all the shops, boulangeries, tabacs, restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, charcuteries, fruit and veg stores, and specialty shops you will ever need during your stay. The Hotel de Ville metro station is just a few minutes away. All in all it was the perfect place for us, and I would return in a heartbeat. Thanks again Sandrine et Michel, Corinne et Claire"

  • Charming Parisian Apartment

"The neighborhood was exactly up to description, there were several wonderful little cafes nearby and it was very close to the Metro with a lovely view of the Notre Dame Cathedral. The apartment was very clean and when we had a problem with figuring out the electricity it was very quickly fixed! The stairs are a little difficult to navigate but that it to be expected in a charming little Parisian apartment like this one. We really loved our experience and would recommend it highly."

  • Awesome, Modern and Quiet!

"We easily and quickly were able to get from the train station to the apartment via the Metro. As we walked up to the building we weren't sure what we had gotten ourselves into. The area is very busy with both pedestrians and traffic. The building and surroundings are very urban. But once inside, it was beautiful! Gorgeously decorated! Modern! Although just a few floors above a busy street, it was quiet with the balcony doors shut. The wonderful AC kept us cool on the hot days. The beds were super comfy and the sofa bed was actually easy and amazingly comfortable. Right next to a museum and a plethora of restaurants and markets a few steps away. Notre dame within view from the balcony and a short walk away. We easily explored Paris and even Versailles from this base. We had a little delay in getting in, but the owner quickly responded to our text. We were a little apprehensive in booking this rental since it was handled a little differently than other HomeAway rentals we had done, but we had no issues. Once you see the place, its art work and amenities, you will understand."

  • Convenient yet quiet

"We stayed for 5 nights. It's quite small but worked fine for our family of 4. All the kitchen appliances such as stove/microwave, fridge, coffee maker, etc as well as the shower, are of high quality. There is a small washer/dryer combo. Good wifi and there's even a computer with printer you can use. The apartment feels pretty secure as you need a code to get through the front door and key to get through a second set of doors. It's also just one flight of stairs up which is good because the elevator is claustrophobically small. It is within a few minutes walk from a metro stop, grocery store, and restaurants and just a little longer to walk to Norte dame and st. Chapelle. It is reasonably priced for what you get. My only complaint would be the air conditioner. It's a stand alone unit that you plug in but it takes up a lot of space and it's loud."
