  • Exceptional

"My wife and I have rented apartments for our vacations for a number of years. The Elzévir apartment had everything we wanted: location, comfort, efficient kitchen and quiet. On top of everything else, the owners make you feel like you are truly their guests not just clients. We are already planning our return."

  • Charming, quiet, perfect location

"The apartment was just as it was represented on the listing, clean and well maintained. It is a very lovely quiet space and perfectly located in the bustling Marais - the noise from the very busy (at times) street does not intrude on the apartment at all. For us, the patio made the space extra special. It was easy to arrange entry with Olivier. The bed was super comfortable and the location could not be better. We had a wonderful experience."

  • Overall excellent option in central Paris

"Pictures do reflect the apartment. Probably one of the best ancient building in that street, classy typical Parisian architecture. Nice penthouse overlooking the Arsenal Harbour. Nicely furnished and equiped. Very well maintained, spotless. Walking distance to Bastille, Gare de Lyon (Air France airport shuttle), to subway station. Very well linked to all sightseeing sites. Owner very reliable from the booking until closing of contract and keen on getting fully satisfied visitors. Our party of 2 adults and 3 kids had a great time at this place which we do recommend and definitely keep in our directory. One tip : have your groceries delivered for your arrival by ordering on line (monoprix, carrefour market), that saves a lot of energy when you come from a 10+hour-flight and make your first morning when jet-lagged kids are ready for breakfast at a time when shops are NOT open yet !!!"

  • Perfect location

"Best Paris spot I've stayed in! I'm lucky enough to get to come to Paris fairly regularly, and I've always stayed in a hotel before. This time there were 4 of us-- husband and 2 kids-- and we would have had to get two hotel rooms. Instead, I paid less than I would have for 1 hotel room and we were all able to stay together. The location is *perfect.* Right in the center of Paris, literally on one of the two islands in the Seine. The apartment is off a courtyard, so it's very quiet, though Ile St. Louis is not noisy, anyway. The apartment is very nicely maintained and had everything we needed. We were planning to bring our dog, which was allowed here, and though we ended up not bringing him it would have been a good place for him. There were other dogs in the building, as well, and it's not far to go outside to walk a dog. But if you're worried about dog smell, there isn't any. Even though I have a dog, I'm slightly allergic. The floors are all hard surfaces and there was absolutely no hint of pet allergens. When you get to the apartment, you go through a courtyard and up one flight of stairs to get to the front door and main floor where the living area (with fold out sofa) is. Then a staircase takes you down to the kitchen, dining room, bedroom and bath. There is a *lot* of room. The downstairs bedroom is very quiet. Those sleeping on the sofa bed could sometimes hear people walking above, so put your soundest sleepers there! The kitchen had everything we needed, and we cooked in a few nights the week that we stayed there. There's a small grocery store around the corner open until 11pm, so you can get the basics easily. Close to Pont Marie metro and not far from the St Paul stop. You could easily take public transportation from the airport or train station if you don't have too much luggage. In sum, a great stay. The owner, Christine, did a terrific job answering questions. I would DEFINITELY stay here again as well as recommend it to friends and family. Looking forward to coming back!"
