Perfect in Paris
"This one-room studio apartment was perfect for me. It is on a lovely cobblestone street in St. Germain in the 6th Arrondisement. It is very small, although I'm sure larger than some hotel rooms. I did not have to upgrade it in any way. Every kitchen item I could possibly need was already there. It is on the 6th floor of a building with an elevator and is situated within easy walking distance from a great market. It has a lovely vista toward the Eiffel Tower, with Montparnasse Tower on the left side of the picture. It is a lovely site at night, especially on the hour when both structures light up and "dance" for a couple of miutes. There are plenty of cafes and some high-end shopping within blocks. Saint Sulpice is next door and the church bells do ring every hour. Luxembourg Gardens is just behind and is a lovely walk, even in winter. The ONLY warning would be about the shower stall which is very small and would be awkward for a tall person, not to mention hard to negotiate getting in and out of. I was there in January when it was very very cold and the heating was more than adequate. The WiFi worked perfectly and television is available. I was glad I brought a portable speaker for my iPod. The refrigerator works perfectly. There was some renovation going on but work did not start until after 9:00am. The owner, Christel, was easy to work and was there to meet with me upon my arrival. I have zero complaints and am very glad I found this gem of an apartment in such a lovely location."
