  • An Excellent Flat in a Great Location!

"My wife and I loved the flat. It is spacious, well organized and in a perfect location near restaurants, transportation, shopping and museums. The descriptions on the web site are very accurate and give a good impression of what the flat is actually like. Marie-Ange is very responsive and helpful (by phone), and Emilie met us as arranged and gave us a good briefing on how the appliances worked. The washer/dryer is excellent. Emilie suggested the wash/dry program 13 which leaves the clothes a little damp. I ran the dry only program 11 and interrupted it in mid cycle by pushing the run/pause button and then holding down the on/off switch. The red "door locked" light goes off in a few seconds. The small dishwasher works well. If the dish basket won’t pull out, make sure the front wheels are not caught in the black stops. The front wheels need to be ON TOP of the stops at the bottom front of the wash chamber. The phone is VERY useful, and the G7 English speaking taxi service is efficient and responsive. We used them several times. Internet is fast and reliable. The flat is near Café Le Procope (where Napoleon left his hat for security for the bill) and Mariage Frères, an amazing teashop where you can have, yes, afternoon tea! The Monoprix super market is a few blocks south on Blvd Saint Michel and contrary to what Google says is open on Sunday. The food market is in the basement down the escalator at the back of the store. There are lots of kebob shops and such around the corner. Rue L’Hirondelle (swallow street) is a quick short cut for pedestrians to Place St Michel and Chez Clement, a decent Paris chain restaurant. The flat is on the premier etage (one floor up for yanks) and the staircase is a little tricky for people with limited mobility like my wife. But she managed without too much difficulty. Shouldn’t be a problem for anyone who can climb a flight of stairs. There is a good handrail. Sainte Chapelle, Notre Dame, the Cluny Museum are all within easy walking distance. You can buy your museum pass in the souvenir shop across the Blvd Saint Michel from Ste Chapelle. The location is very convenient to bus (our preferred mode of transportation), Metro, and RER. Lots of storage. Plenty of guide books! The king sized bed is great! We didn't use the futon. It would be a tight squeeze for adults, but good for kids. A GREAT flat for a couple who want a central Paris location. We would highly recommend it to friends and family."

  • Beautiful

"This charming apartment is in the pefect location. One block from St Michel Metro station. It is on a lively square, but the apartment is very quiet. If you open the windows, you will hear the atmosohere and activity in the square. My only complaint is that the bathroom fan is on constantly. You cannot turn it off. The vent pipe runs through the bedroom with no insulation, so the noise is kind of like being on an airplane. Earplugs are necessary if you can't sleep with noise. A simple fix would be to frame a soffit around the vent pipe and insulate it, but this has not been done. Apparently the master bedroom has the same issue. So make sure you bring earplugs and you will enjoy this lovely flat. The decor is very lovely and authentic. Old paintings and tons of books. No Ikea here! Kitchen is a fine size for quick meals. They had everything you could need, including hair dryers. All and all it was a very nice place and I would definitely stay there again. Location cannot be beat. Jean Noel and his staff were great. Deposit returned immediately. Great bakery (Paul's) is right around the corner. And restaurants everywhere, including right outside the front door. It was a very special space."

  • Clean, cozy and convenient

"This little apartment could not be better placed for exploring Paris. Despite being close to three major boulevards it is very quiet (except when the inevitable wheelie bins are rolled out each morning - has nobody ever heard of rubber tyres?) and there is almost no traffic on the narrow street. We slept with the window open and never heard more than muffled, subdued noise from the other apartments either. The apartment is clean and bright with everything you need, a full bath and even a heated towel rail which was great for drying. There is an eclectic assortment of crockery as well as some basic condiments for cooking. But be sure to ask Fabrice how the cooktop works, we never did discover how to turn it on though there seemed to be a manual for everything else! We found the mattress was quite comfortable and not particularly hard (see other reviews). The couch however may have "charm" but in reality is a bit shabby and uncomfortable. That's the only negative thing I can think of really, and I would certainly stay here again."

  • Lovely stay at a charming apartment

"My sister and I enjoyed our stay in Paris last week at this very lovely apartment. It was just like it looks in the pictures, very clean, well equipped and you could tell that much thought had been given into providing everything one would need while renting an apartment. Both of the beds were exceptionally comfortable, you would not even know that one was a sofa bed, it felt like a real mattress and we found it very easy to pull out and put away. We used the kitchen for a few of our meals and had everything we needed to do some light cooking. We also found it to be extremely quiet yet the location cannot be beat, as there are so many great restaurants and shops nearby. I have rented a few times in this area but so far this seems to be my favorite. Being the independent person that I am I really liked the self check-in and check out procedures, all with excellent instructions. I will definitely look into renting this apartment again the next time I am in Paris."
