  • Best apartment

"This was the fourth time we rented apartments for our vacation in Paris and this was by far the best. The apartment was exactly as pictured and clean and comfortable. Cecile was very responsive to any questions and arranged for a driver to and from the airport that was very convenient. I would highly recommend this property and will look for it again for our next trip."

  • Perfect location, close to everything.

"This apartment is all about location!! It is a block for the Odeon Metro stop. We used the Metro and RER everyday we were in Paris. The Jardin du Luxembourg is a couple of blocks away. Our first day in Paris we went and had a nice lunch in the park and toured the beautiful grounds. We loved the Left Bank area and Historic Core area. You can walk to Notre Dame, Louvre, and Cluny Musee. There are great restaurants, cafes and shopping area that are within a block or a few. We took the Metro and RER to all the other sights we saw that week in Paris. We only used a taxi to get from Orly Airport when we arrived to get to the apartment. After that it was all walking or mass transit as we became adapt at using the system. This is a unique studio apartment. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen met our needs. The Paris tap water tastes great! We didn't have to buy bottled water, just refilled our reusable one's for daily use. We were able to get some simple items for breakfasts and snacks, as we spent most of our lunch and dinner meals out. We utilized the free Wifi with no problem. There was a TV, but we never even turned it on. It was so nice to have a clothes washer in the apartment. We packed light knowing this and each only used a carry on bag/backpack. We were able to wash our clothes and have them air dry. It made our trip more enjoyable not lugging around large suitcases. The bathroom functioned satisfactory. Be aware the shower/bathtub is a creative experience in hygiene. It is best suited for short small people. My boyfriend is 6" and could neither shower standing up or take a tub bath sitting down. I struggled as well and I am 5'4". The weather was unseasonably warm when we were there. Over 90! There are two fans in the apartment which we used and left the windows open at night. No A/C. Most nights were very quiet and the Rue it is on used during the day mostly by students going to and from the school across the street. One night from 11pm-1am there was a very loud boisterous party on the steps by the statue on our Rue, but when we were woken by the commotion we just closed the window an went back to sleep. For those with mobility issues or lots of large heavy luggage, please be aware this is on an upper floor. The stairs were interesting, as they curl around a small elevator. Julia was fantastic. We kept in touch before our trip, she met us at the apartment, went over how things worked and gave us some great tips about the area."

  • Very Nice St. Germain de Pres Flat

"This was a very nicely located flat on the edge of St. Germain de Pres and the Latin Quarter. When you walk out of the building, Pont Neuf is just to your left. The location is PERFECT for exploring the best of Paris. The bed is comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. The heat worked very well in keeping the flat comfortable. The self-service check in went according to the well documented instructions. I had a very good experience."

  • Living the dream in Paris!

"Without repeating all the positive aspects of Alain's apartment as described in the other reviews, I will try to describe our experience at this gem of an apartment in a great location and neighborhood we found to give us an excellent feel for “living the dream” in Paris for a week. Alain's cafe was a great introduction to the Parisienne experience, along with a great cup of Americana coffee, seafood salad and the pains au chocolat. There are many stores and restaurants in the neighborhood. Beside Bon Marche and the grand epicerie, there's a butcher, fish monger, many great boutique stores, chocolatiers, florists, tailor, and many other services found in large cities. Right next to Carrefour City(local supermarket) is another little shop which has good meals to go. We had the chicken and potatoes and that was just fine with a good price. Some days there's a Farmer's Market right outside of these two stores. Only a few steps away and around the corner is the Chapelle Notre-Dame De La Medaille Miraculeuse, where Sainte Catherine Laboure had her miraculous experience. She is an incorruptible saint who lies within the church. Alain's studio is a great find and I'm sure you'll love it as we did. We are two Americans in our middle sixties and really liked the idea that the metro was right there, which brought us to every major sight. Merci, Alaine. You were very helpful!"
