  • A Jewel in the 6th

"My husband and I spent eight nights in this welcoming and comfortable, superbly located apartment. Situated a block from the exquisite Luxembourg Gardens, it is also within a fifteen minute's walk, or less, from a host of fine, well-priced neighborhood restaurants, three markets, and two separate metro lines, not to mention across the street from an all-too-tempting bakery/café. We love to explore neighborhoods, and this apartment allows for so many enjoyable options--down the Blvd. Raspail, the gallery-rich Rue Bonaparte or Rue de Seine, the Rue de Sevres with its shops, or through the Luxembourg to Montparnasse. The apartment itself was an integral part of our enjoyable stay. Warm and cozy, with a comfortable bed and sofa, modern, fully-equipped kitchen, a terrific shower with instantaneous hot water, and heaters that worked perfectly to take the morning chill off, as well as free wifi and phone, it was a pleasurable oasis from which to launch our day and in which to end it. And we cannot imagine better, more caring, responsive, friendlier owners--thoroughgoing professionals. Thank you for a delightful stay!"

  • Honest Owners

"I hid my US cash as well as credit cards under the sink in the apartment and forgot to take them with me upon leaving. I contacted the owner and she found the items and mailed them to me. This level of honesty is what you look for in a vacation rental."

  • Perfect

"Dauphine was perfect for our two weeks in Paris. The location couldn't be more convenient and the neighborhood was delightful, including one of our favorite hangouts, right outside the door - Chez Nous (a wine bar with tasty small bites, vibrant crowd and a friendly young owner). Dauphine itself is accessed through two well kept courtyards and a cool old staircase. The apartment looks out at a beautiful courtyard. Even with the windows open it is still very quiet and tranquil (at times you can hear students practicing at the music school below). The apartment is very clean, well kept, comfortable and efficient while including tons of storage for bags, clothes and shoes. Don't feel like you need to bring a ton of clothes because it does include a washing machine. Bottom line is it was perfect for our family (two adults, 9 year old & 12 year old). We can't wait to stay there again and would highly recommend it!"

  • Experiencing Paris the Way the French Do

"This wonderful apartment is centrally located in easy walking distance of most of the desirable Parisian experiences. It includes a small but fully functional kitchen and everything needed to enable you to eat at home whenever and if you prefer. In addition, high speed internet, TV, a washing machine, and hair blow-dryer are provided. Excellent restaurants abound in the neighborhood. We especially recommend Sense, an Italian-vegetarian restaurant just down the street at 39 Rue Mazarin. In addition, French-style small supermarkets are nearby as are several good cheese shops, boulangeries, and takeout food shops. We attended wonderful concerts almost nightly in locations that included Sainte-Chapelle, Notre Dame, and the Eglise St. Ephrem – all within easy walking distance. Concerts can be inexpensively and quickly booked in advance on Classictic.com. Both Metro and RER access are conveniently available and you can get pretty much anywhere you want in Paris. A car is absolutely unnecessary. RER service from Charles de Gaulle Airport is fast and drops you practically on the apartment doorstep. Buy a round-trip RER ticket at the airport to and from the St. Michel station. That'll save having to do a separate return ticket when it's (sadly) time to go home. As others have mentioned, the five flights of stairs are definitely not for anyone who is mobility impaired or who would object to a bit of stair-climbing. It's work. That said, my wife and I are in our late 60s and had no difficulty at all. If you are reasonably physically active and willing to trade a little bit of hahard work for a spectacular opportunity to see Paris as the Parisians do, don't let the thought of the stairs dissuade you. Mr. Mauro, the apartment owner, and his property Manager, Ms. Janvier are a pleasure to work with. They were consistently prompt, honest, helpful and absolutely reliable in all their dealings. They both speak and write English fluently. By the way, in the 10 days we spent in Paris we were overwhelmed by the pleasant, helpful, gracious and welcoming behavior of Parisians in general. We stayed at the apartment for 10 days and it certainly was one of the greatest European stays we've ever experienced. Previously we've visited Switzerland, Italy, Scotland, and Greece. Paris was up there with the best and this apartment certainly contributed to the experience."
