  • Very Pretty Haussmann Style Apartment

"We stayed in 93 rue de Rennes for four nights mid-May with our 2 children. The apartment is very charming with a delightful garden in the back that is calm and serene. It has 3 bedrooms which are are very comfortable, 2 baths/showers and the location although off a very busy street is close enough to walk to Jardins de Luxembourg and Blvd. St. Germain. There is a Secco Patisserie on the corner which we frequented often, and a Michelin star restaurant (Helene Darroze) just across the street which we loved. A lovely and comfortable residence. The only CAVEAT is that it has only ONE TOILET."

  • Perfect Location in the 6th District

"As many reviews indicate, the place is charming, a good value, and the location can't be beat! The place was extremely clean, with large living room table and two couches so plenty of space for a family of 4 to unwind. It was perfect walking distance to many popular sights, and on the best metro/RER line for things further afield such as Versailles and the Eiffel Tower. The small kitchen had everything needed for a short stay with dishes/silverware and bonus dishwasher and laundry. The kids appreciated the 2nd bedroom could be made into two twin beds, and the 160cm bed in the master was really comfortable. While we never met the owner, they were quick to respond to emails and made arrangements for airport transport making the process painless. Also, the stairs weren't that bad if you had manageable luggage. So why not 5 stars? Basically noise. We were expecting minimal street noise since the apartment is set back from the main road and several floors up. The problem is the front (but not back) windows are single-glaze so we heard sirens, people yelling, and motorcycles during the evening/night. I'll just say we were glad it wasn't summer with windows open (remember no AC here). Also, the apartment next door has a shared entryway and a dog that would occasionally go nuts scratching at the front door then run back and forth through the upstairs howling. We're not sure why (to go out? someone came home?) but it was always startling. Finally, I have some suggestions for improvement. It would be nice to have a guide book, metro/city maps, museum information, etc. for first-time visitors. Local knowledge is usually a benefit of using a rental but the meager book provided didn't even name recommended restaurants to find them. While the bathroom and bed linens were great, the towels were thin and had threads unraveling. Also, it would have been nice if the house was stocked a bit more with essentials. We only had 1/2 roll of paper towels, one small trash bag, and only two small rolls of toilet paper for 4 people for a week. Both soap dispensers in the bathroom/kitchen were empty, and no shampoos/soaps provided. Plus, After a long journey, it would be appreciated to have water/drinks or milk/coffee available (free or for purchase) in the fridge on arrival. Little things like this would go a long way towards the experience. All in all it was a charming place with well-deserved positive reviews. With a few improvements, it would be amazing."

  • Cozy apartment in an ideal location in Paris

"The apartment is ideally located to enjoy the best shopping, dining, nightlife, etc., that Paris has to offer-just a few steps away. It is very close to many attractions as well as to public transportation, so essentially all of Paris is easily accessible. Moreover it has all the amenities one could ask for, full kitchen, comfortable accommodations, washer and dryer, plus a unique roof top patio with a great view. We would definitely stay there again. The GlamParis staff was a pleasure to work with and made it all quite simple. Definitely one of our favorites!"

  • Great Location, Excellent Budget Choice

"My wife and I stayed in this 1 bedroom flat for 8 nights and found it very functional and comfortable. It would be an ideal choice for budget minded travelers looking to stay in the heart of the 6th. The flat is in the older section of a mixed-use complex consisting of apartments and offices around a courtyard, and has plenty of storage space in shelving and closets. If you are traveling for more than a week or two, or with a child, this can be very helpful. The flat consists of two rooms -- one, the combination living room/kitchen, and the other a bedroom with desk (complete with a nice office chair, Ethernet connection, and excellent wifi throughout the flat!). Bed was very comfortable and hot water plentiful. While not stylish, it has everything you need (stovetop espresso maker would be a nice addition to the kitchen) and we loved the location, with two metro lines (at St Placide and Rennes) a block away, and several more nearby. La Grand Epicerie is a short walk, Mamie Gateaux is a block away (our favorite lunch in Paris), and Luxembourg Gardens is only a short stroll. Owner Annie was very helpful and speaks English), including help we needed during the stay (even a doctor referral). If you are looking to stay in a real Parisian neighborhood which is central, need a little more room than the typical teeny Paris hotel room provides, or want to cook a meal or two rather than eat out the whole time, this is a very good value. Not sure about summer (don't know if there is a/c)."
