  • Des Arts

"Location is excellent. Apt. is unusually large for Paris, with good views of the Place des Arts from front windows. The spiral stairs are a little awkward. Check-in procedure seemed complicated in written instructions, but were easy on arrival: only problem is that the key box is difficult to see inside because of position near the floor. We had a small flashlight or it would have been a problem. Only serious complaint is that tables in master bedroom hadn't been dusted in months and there were dust bunnies under the beds that were the size of real bunnies. I'd gladly stay here again with assurance that the house cleaners had done the job properly. I've stayed in 24-25 rental apartments in Paris over the past several years, and this is one of the best ones I've rented."

  • Wonderful apartment in really nice part of town!

"This apartment was wonderful for the both of us. With nearby restaurants, boulangerie, and grocery stores, this was a wonderful refuge from daily tourism. Best thing is that great restaurants have reasonable fixed price menus during the day for lunch. We'd come home in the evenings after a day at the museums and enjoy some wine, fresh baguette, cheese and sliced meats. If we were too tired for that we would head up to a local cafe. Note that the bed is on the second floor with a narrow ladder, but that was OK for both of us. We loved this place and would be happy to come back again! Owner Vince was very helpful and responsive to all our questions."

  • Great Location, Excellent Budget Choice

"My wife and I stayed in this 1 bedroom flat for 8 nights and found it very functional and comfortable. It would be an ideal choice for budget minded travelers looking to stay in the heart of the 6th. The flat is in the older section of a mixed-use complex consisting of apartments and offices around a courtyard, and has plenty of storage space in shelving and closets. If you are traveling for more than a week or two, or with a child, this can be very helpful. The flat consists of two rooms -- one, the combination living room/kitchen, and the other a bedroom with desk (complete with a nice office chair, Ethernet connection, and excellent wifi throughout the flat!). Bed was very comfortable and hot water plentiful. While not stylish, it has everything you need (stovetop espresso maker would be a nice addition to the kitchen) and we loved the location, with two metro lines (at St Placide and Rennes) a block away, and several more nearby. La Grand Epicerie is a short walk, Mamie Gateaux is a block away (our favorite lunch in Paris), and Luxembourg Gardens is only a short stroll. Owner Annie was very helpful and speaks English), including help we needed during the stay (even a doctor referral). If you are looking to stay in a real Parisian neighborhood which is central, need a little more room than the typical teeny Paris hotel room provides, or want to cook a meal or two rather than eat out the whole time, this is a very good value. Not sure about summer (don't know if there is a/c)."

  • Perfect little apartment

"This bright little apartment is in a perfect location just a short walk to the river and Notre Dame in one direction and in the other all the shops and cafes you could ask for. The apartment is just off the on a little side street and quiet at night with large windows to let the fresh air in. A young lady Samia from the booking company met us upon arrival and went over the apartment details, area, etc and kept in contact through the week to see how everything was going. The apartment is on the 3rd floor (US standard) but the staircase is large and easy, and the building is secured with multiple locks. The bathrooms are a little unusual, two small wash rooms with a tub and shower, while a third small room is where the toilet is located. But the apartment has charm and the area is perfect."
