  • Beautiful apartment. Great neighborhood. Very caring host.

"Beautiful one bedroom Latin Quarter walkup on the 4th floor. We were met when we arrived and everything was explained to us in English. Host suggested sites to see and ways to get around. The apartment has maps and guidebooks you can use. English language TV was available as well as no cost phone calls to landlines in the US. Host arranged a taxi for us when we left and came to see us off. We would definitely stay here again and I recommend it highly."

  • A Little Bit of Parisian Heaven

"My husband and I stayed six nights in this lovely apartment on Rue Tiquetonne. It is on the 4th floor (5th American), and the stairs are well-lit and solid; but there is also a small lift for when you're tired and it's late. It is very bright and spacious, and for the two of us it was perfect. The colors and furnishings are warm and inviting, with everything being well-coordinated and placed. Modern touches, especially in the kitchen and in the lighting, make it a very comfortable place to be. The kitchen has a dishwasher and Nespresso machine, as well as a washer and dryer (that really dries, not just spins!). There is a binder with instructions on how to use everything -- very helpful! The bedroom has a king bed with fresh, crisp linens and black-out drapes. Cozy and comfortable; we slept quite well. The wi-fi was very good. It is a quiet building and street; we hardly heard anybody. My only concern for the apartment is the shower; you have to climb into it and my tall 6'2" husband could not quite stand straight and had to do adjustments in order for the shower head to reach his hair. If you are elderly or have mobility issues, be extra careful getting in/out. Other than that the bathroom is great, with a heated towel rack and large sink. We LOVED our neighborhood so much. O'scia is great for Neapolitan style pizza, and around every corner there are numerous shops and restaurants and cafes to try out. The Stohrer boulangerie/patisserie is a must--the best baguettes we've had in Paris. On one of the side streets there are several amazing cocktail bars you must visit: Jefrey's and Experimental Cocktail Club are our favorites. Our favorite restaurant a block away is Comptoir de la Gastronomie--fantastic French comfort food and the best onion soup ever. Metro stops and bus stops are so close by, and you can walk to everything--the Pompidou, Notre Dame, Place Vendome, the Marais, the Jewish Quarter, etc. Unlimited fun and adventures. The area is well-lit and very safe, with a lot of activity and energy. But it's so nice to come back to your quiet little haven on Rue Tiquetonne. The owner and her property manager Jean-Paul are very attentive, good with communication, and easy to work with. I highly recommend this apartment!"

  • A perfect stay

"This apartment was really delightful. It was very cute and has a nice design. The space is average size for a rental in Paris, but still lots of space to move around. Lots of storage space in the bedroom. The kitchen had lots of amenities. Even a salad spinner. The stove is excellent and modern, as well as the dishwasher. Everything works well, and the water pressure is amazing. It might be a little on the cozy side for 4 people, but you could manage. For 2 people, it was perfect. The bed is comfortable, and there are true black-out shutters, which helped for an amazing sleep. Good internet connection, which does need to be reset occasionally (it's explained, and very simple to do). The apartment is secure with a good lock, and the building and neighbourhood are safe and quiet. The immediate area is absolutely beautiful, and has a great fresh fruit/vegetable store, convenience stores, a delicious bakery, hardware store and a cheese shop within a one-minute walk. Several excellent grocery stores are very close by. I always find all Parisians to be extremely polite, open and friendly; the people in this neighbourhood were especially warm and genuine. The Metro is 2 minutes away. If you arrive by Metro, be aware that the station has a regular elevator/lift to make it easy, (otherwise there are many stairs if you have luggage). As many have mentioned, some of the area has lots of steps and hills, so be aware that this area would not be so easy for some people. However, there is a lot of the area which does not have steep hills, so some parts are not so difficult. Getting to the Metro does involve climbing steps, and there are about 40 steps in one direction outside the building (but not in the other direction). It was a great stay, and the host was very friendly and communicative by email. Everything worked properly, and the surrounding area (and, of course, the rest of Paris) was absolutely beautiful."
