  • Peace & quiet in the countryside yet close to local village & road links to all tourist destinations

"Attractive, well maintained property in secluded grounds with lovely views onto neighbouring farm. Well kept and clean with all necessary facilities to make a home from home holiday. Good for exploring but also comfy enough to spend a day at home. Great location for a wide variety of activities and tourist visits including markets, beaches, gardens, places of historical interest, walking etc. We visited Honfleur, Bayeaux, Normandy beaches, Mont St Michel, St Malo, Carolles Beach, and Dinan to name a few. Owner's provided lots of useful advice and made helpful suggestions to ensure the holiday met our needs by prompt response to our questions. Local riverside walk was an excellent suggestion. Would recommend to families, couples, friends. Probably challenging to the disabled or infirm unless able to sleep on downstairs sofa bed as staircases steep or spiral. Although there are restaurants nearby we tended to go out for the day and eat before returning home or cook at home."

  • Enjoyable stay

"This is a lovely big bungalow, with a huge conservatory, the photos don't do it justice. Large rooms, big hallway, great for storing all the bikes. Cool inside for summer months, lovely secure garden (gates lock), dog friendly. 10/15 min walk into town along river path, cycle route from here to coast, 7km. Chinese resteraunt, Macdonalds, loads supermarkets, couple cycle shops all on your doorstep really, fantastic location. The owners were lovely, didn't speak English so I just used the Internet to translate to them. All plates, cutlery, pans, microwave, tv, washing machine there for you to use. I would definatly stay here again and would recommend."

  • Excellent well renovated house of great character.

"We were 5 friends from East Yorkshire on a tour of the Normandy battlefields, with a gastronomic requirement! The house is well placed, in a quiet location but close to Port En Bessin, with its fine restaurant choices and shops. Beds are comfortable, bathrooms well equipped, and all rooms are clean and spotless. There is plenty of private parking if required, and a sheltered walled garden in which to enjoy the sun, rare on our trip but we managed a couple of evenings outside for an hour reviewing our day over a glass of wine or two. After long days travelling the area it was the perfect place to relax afterwards. M. Jeanne has done an excellent job with this house."

  • Well-kept studio apartment

"We were very pleased to find a well-kept studio apartment which was close to the Normandy D-Day landing sites that we were interested in visiting. The apartment was quiet, clean and for just the two of us, comfortable. In addition to visiting the WW-2 landing sites and museums we enjoyed learning about dairy farming and getting up close and personal with the dairy cows and newborn calves. We thank Lilian and her family for explaining and showing us the dairy operation and making our brief visit enjoyable"
