  • Highly recommended!

"Pereyroux is ideally situated for a relaxed family holiday. It is close to everything you might want to see and do around the Dordogne region, whilst also located on the outskirts of a village, which lends itself to undisturbed and peaceful days and nights away from everything. The house is homely and yet offers enough options for everyone to have the space to do what they want to do. The house, pool and grounds were clean and well tended throughout our stay by the owner who lives next door. All of the rooms were comfortable and spacious too. As the Olympics were on, we often gathered by the t.v. in the lounge to cool down and to watch athletes do the hard work! We arrived tired and hot from a long journey through France with 3 generations and a dog on board a campervan. The welcome we received from the owner was kind and generous, and she and her partner were most attentive to our needs and queries throughout our stay. The first few days were spent relaxing around the house, garden and in the pool, trying out and enjoying all the facilities available. The days were hot and evenings long and soon our energies were renewed sufficient to start exploring the pretty and historic Dordogne region. As the owner has lived in the property a long time, he knowledge of the locality and it's opportunities for holiday makers is invaluable, and she was generous with her time and advice. We visited some villages, caves and off course swam, canoed and languished by the Dordogne throughout our stay. The local resteaurants and cafe's and village events which were recommended to us, were as charming as you could hope for. As we only had a week, it was not nearly long enough to do everything we wanted but all agreed that we would love to come back for longer next year."

  • maison exceptionnelle

"Accueil très chaleureux des propriétaires. La maison est de très haut standing. La cuisine très fonctionnelle. Parfaitement adaptée pour deux couples avec enfants ou quatre couples sans enfant. Attention pour les enfants en bas âge il y a des escaliers étroits. Nous avons profité pleinement de l'immense jardin et de la tranquillité de la situation."

  • Absolutely beautiful holiday destination

"We were a party of 4 adults and an 8 yr old, 6 yr old, 3 yr old and stayed at Shirley and Robert's house for one week from 30th July 2016. As soon as we arrived we knew we had struck gold with this house. It is spacious, bright, modern and comfortable with everything you could wish for. The gardens are huge, mostly consisting of sloping lawns, and the pool is stunning- large, clean, not too cold for any of us (around 26-27 degrees). The pool area has several dining areas, some in the shade, some under trees, and the whole place is quiet and completely private. We loved it and just wished we could stay longer! We had to contact Shirley once during our stay, about something that was not at all urgent, and our query was dealt with within one hour (although we had not expected any response during our week!) by a local handyman. We visited Sarlat en Canada and Domme (both very pretty but touristy) and spent most mornings swimming in the Dordogne and then retreating to relax by the pool. Altogether a fabulous week."
