The gite is just as pictured and described. It is compact, but tastefully and thoughtfully appointed. And the covered patio area is really wonderful, with lovely views to the pool and out to the surrounding hills. Josette is meticulous about maintaining the gite, pool, and gardens and offers just the right balance of privacy and interaction. I was, however, very disappointed with VRBO as a booking system. Josette maintains the listing in Home Away, and while I do not fully understand the relationship between between Home Away and VRBO.it is obvious their systems are not fully in sync. Charges were incorrectly reflected in VRBO (cleaning, taxes, etc were omitted); VRBO allowed me to book outside the Saturday - Saturday restriction the owners have established in Home Away; VRBO sent me incorrect billing instructions,; and VRBO failed to forward to my mailbox communication Josette had entered in Home Away. I followed up with VRBO to alert them to the inconsistencies, and they refused to accept responsibility. I recommend the property and owners without hesitation, and would happily stay there again. However I cannot recommend VRBO; if I were to book again I would contact the owner directly or book through Home Away.

Beautiful, spacious home, friendly owners

This house was beautiful! We loved the decor, and the windows were just fantastic, letting in a lot of light and providing a nice view of the hilly fields outside. It was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The owners live next door, and were very friendly and helpful. This was one of our favorite places that we've stayed in through HomeAway - we definitely recommend it for a nice getaway in the country.
