  • Contemporary magnificence

"This villa should be your choice when staying near beautiful Avignon. Perched high upon the hillside, this villa has absolutely everything needed for a memorable stay. It is close enough to amenities to permit local dining while presenting a fully-equiped kitchen for dining at home. The view from almost every room is magnificent although located in a very private setting. Our hosts could not have been more helpful and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for them. They went out of their way to accommodate our every requirement. This is a villa which is recommended without hesitation, no matter how particular you may be."

  • Fantastic views, very peaceful and away from the hustle & bustle of Cannes... very helpful owner

"We had a very relaxing 5 night stay recently and it was the perfect retreat for us. About a 45mins drive from Nice airport and easy enough to find , located half way up a hillside with stunning views over the town/mini-port of Le Trayas. the villa is quirky and perfectly reasonable for 2 people, but rooms upstairs show it can cater for 6 easily enough. the decor is pretty rustic but everything in working condition and owner Carol at hand for any issues (otherwise happy to stay pretty much at arms length for your stay). There is a small supermarket within 5minutes drive of the villa which is ok, but for fresh meats/fish you would have to drive around 15minutes or so to Theoules. We did not manage to get to the beach nearby as swimming pool was perfectly clean and well kept. Overall, a relaxing stay.. with a few touches to modernise the flat, this place would be a great get away (and roughly 30mins drive to Cannes if traffic is reasonable). Thanks Carol."

  • All excellent reviews----

"It is no wonder that this listing has so many excellent reviews. Everything written is as described: perfect views, perfect location, bus system was easy, (especially with all the information that was prepared in the package). Luzminda was easy to communicate with and waited a very long time for us since our plane was delayed and then, our baggage was also delayed. She was very patient and helped us quickly settle in after a long travel day (which should have been a very short travel day). The bed is comfortable and although the street has traffic and planes are coming and going, sleep comes very easy if you follow the guide/directions. The shutter etc blocks out all the street noise and you would never know you are on a main avenue. We have rented many properties through vrbo and this has been the best one so far. Thank you for giving us a home away from home for our stay in nice."

  • Lovely flat just minutes from Prommenade des Anglais

"This charming apt was roomy, clean, had everything one could need for a vacation stay there. When built, it probably had a fantastic view of the Riviera, now a later built apt blocks the view, but once out the front door the walk around the corner to beach is no more than 2 minutes. Stairs leading up to apt on 4th floor will keep you in shape and make it possible to burn off those calories from the overeating in Nice. Response from owner is very quick. You might want to consider a car while in Nice. We did not and I found Nice to be a much larger city than I had thought and a bit frustrating to get around in. Security seemed very heavy in September after attack in July. All in all, Nice is a beautiful city with much history, shopping, and food to be experienced. It should be everyone's list of places to visit."
